The video in UMD itself is MP4 AVC format
If you convert ur movie to MP4 AVC format @ 720x480 , u should be able to get good quality playback on LCD TV as well.
However if u were to watch at PSP alone, I would suggest PMP format simply because PMPlayer Advance allow playback at 66MHz with the same quality of playback. It should save more battery juice
come to think again, a full umd size is 1.7GB right. so, if u manage to calculate your final encoded mp4 to the nearest than that, plus the right resolution (720x480), u will get the same quality as a umd movie. correct me if i'm wrong. If you convert ur movie to MP4 AVC format @ 720x480 , u should be able to get good quality playback on LCD TV as well.

also, a 2 hour movie with 1.7GB is not worth it u know. it will be just like lampin pakai buang.
