superb quality there despite the 1/43 scale... i like the shiny wheels the most... btw, the rear lights seem to be a bit imbalance between each other eh, one look up one look down... tongue.gif wat maker is tat?

From what I found from the handcraft Redline... their Enzo also has this imbalance on the rear light... "Redline quality cannot be wrong.... cost more than US$130 a piece one 1/43 scaled"

So, I guess the rear light of the real ENZO is not genuine from Ferrari factory - Jason?

Finally, the long awaited Parcel arrived safe. Want to share something to you all, if any of you wish to buy model car from Oversea. PLEASE tell the seller to state the item as "MODEL CAR FOR ADULT" - NEVER declare as a toy! In fact my parcel was retained by custom for one week over the transit POST center in Sarawak. I wrote to POST HQ in Subang nobody can trace what's going on with that parcel mad.gif .... So I keep calling the local post office to chase them up! then finally the items arrive on this monday! so much relief rclxm9.gif .... but the box was severely damaged! vmad.gif luckily the items inside still unopen but the models' box is not in good condition. sweat.gif I consider myself lucky this time because:

1. No stamp duty paid! - The Parcel is marked "DITAHAN" - Luckily the day I went to pick it up - the Custom officer was on leave.... So I told the post office staff - these items were for Christmas gift....

2. The Parcel Box was severeley damaged - I can even see the item from outside the box - lucky me! the item still there - not stolen or drop out in transit.... This all boil down to the seller - he declare the parcel as "TOYS"! that's a BIG problem....

guys
please help me......
my interest towards diecast is dying....... sad.gif
*
Tai Ko Cham! - That's exactly what had happened to me earlier - while so into collecting HW 1/64.... one morning I woke up telling myself to let go them.... That's funny, I bought few HW basic recently... and I feel the fun is still there but don't feel the urge that I used before.
How do I motivate myself to continue collecting 1/43 models?. Well I used to watch the real car in action e.g. you can visit youtube and search for videos.... I'm sure you will love your evo once you watch Mika Hakkinen in action.... so much good memories... then you can gather facts from the web and try to write something about your favourite car you have in your display carbinet.... then show it in your blog.... give it a try Cham!....

One advice from me, try not to spend BIG for diecast.... give priority to important matters like personal education, housing loan, your parents/ girlfriend/ wife/ kids/ car.... Hey! after working so hard for your family members you need to get yourself reward too... Therefore I'll continue collecting 1/43 models in 2009 but with a control 1 pcs per month (cost below RM150)....

Happy collecting.... icon_rolleyes.gif

Zefflodo: I don't wanna be biased (let's forget what you've done in the past)! as far as shipping is concern. I normally go for Registered mail, cheaper & much safer- cause you can trace the item from the point it despatch and you need to call the POS agent to find out your local ID. - You may also consider Parcel service. Both are very similar in pricing... express mail is fast... but you need to pay more.... hey, careful with the custom officer!!!

Nice Casonic Impul from Hotworks....

thanx bro jasonist, btw bro REALCollector ur collection really poison me into this diecast car,and as first GTR R35 owner here, congrats thumbup.gif rase macam jd owner kete betul plak tongue.gif

other than BTS Time Machine, where can find the AA GTR here in KL?if buy online which site is best?and bro REALCollector where u got ur GTR?
*
Jasonist: First GTR owner? No, no, I'm not the first to own it here, perhaps some collectors who collect Tomica limited already got the 1/64 scaled
few months ahead than I did. Ok! those cars are my overall collections... on average each cost around RM135 ( X 36 = RM4860).... sweat.gif
This is just part of my investment on diecast. Add another RM3000 on Hotwheels & other miscellanous.... Total: RM7860 for 2008??? Crazy!!!

kabuto: Welcome to the world of diecast collection! I hope you'll enjoy yourself as much as we do here. Well, I may recommend you to refer our Tai
Ko Jasonist where to source for AA 1:18....

Akid & Iman_210: Thank you. Yeap! been spending BIG in 2008... just my opinion: when I started to collect model car, I'll always collect things from past to present: so you can see, In my 2008 acquisitions, handful of the race cars are from the past.... and also, I'll normally collect pair e.g. the rival model, team mate or from the same manufacturer race cars... it's so much fun when you collect with a purpose.... each race car has their own story... so that's what makes the 1/43 collection so fun!!!
(As for road car, well... I'll only collect limited models cause: too many choices e.g. brand, color, and version.... so hope you guys will build on your already impressive collection and happy diecasting !!! )

Happy new year!!!

The GT-R35 models are hot items... if you don't grab it now... you might miss it forever... like what I faced recently, saw few models.. take too long to think, then decided... it has gone for good cry.gif

kabuto: From nearly 10 online stores visited so far, the average cost for new GTR should between US$110 (* 3.55) that mean approximately RM390 ringgit. Therefore add up another RM50 for shipping should be around RM450 - Therefore S$180 is reasonable - better get it from Singapore. It's definately cheaper than buying from Time Machine. But with a risk!!! might need to pay for custom duty and other risks.... you know when come to buy online.....

Yeah! I don't mean to psycho you... hot collections like Minichamps 1/43 2008 Lewis Halimton was sold out worldwide... even with a sky rocket price tag... buyer just paid for it... crazy!!!... I'm not surprise for the AA GT-R35 1:18, cause the 1:1 has taken the world by storm.... the name is as well known as Ferrari Enzo... almost every car enthusiast want to get their hand on it... The Black GT-R is selling like hot cakes in Japan... the Kyosho and Ebbro models have top the collectors wanted list... well, I would advice you to pre-book for the Black color.... Good luck in your hunt....

Hmmmm!!! I have a feeling our taiko MYKE has surprise for us - white GT-R35 perhaps brows.gif

Not really that hard my friend.... HW elite are commons in the diecast market.... it's hard to find all sort of quality models in Malaysia... you name it... WHY??? I guess Malaysian sellers are kidda profit minded... High end models tend to give them little margin of profit and many intangile risks to get them in to Malaysia??? e.g. stolen, worry of no demand, etc... the biggest factor is exchange rate!!! If you are from UK, US, European.... wow! these items were just as cheap as you buy pay for your fast food.... so that's why we poor Malaysian have to buy online...

Hey! guys, if you own a credit card... you should have no problem open a paypal account...

How many of you REALLY interested to get the AA 1:18 GT-R35? If between RM450 to RM500 is a problem just wait for a while, BLACK color is available.... to be precise AUTOART - NISSAN GT-R (R35) (SUPER BLACK) 08' - 1/18....

** ok! Since I saw lots of forumers here are eager to add the new GT-R35 to their collections... I'm just wanna help.... Like our Tai ko Cham said... we here to help fellow collectors not making profit....

organise bulk purchase i presume?
*
Bulk purchase??? not workable as I can see you guys are all over Malaysia... from different states... I will give you guys the info once I get the final cost from the seller... pls PM me if you are interested.... Those of you who think exchange rate is not an issue... pls go ahead with your orders e.g. From Singapore, US or others.... As for my case I try to tell the seller to deal in HK$

I understand how you feel mike... cause I faced the same dilemma before... It's common to collect all colours.... I'd seen one Japanese collectors collect all colours from ebbro 1/43... I personally think white GTR is the best... reason why I don't choose it because, very clear mark if kena scratch or turn yellowish after sometime???

EMS... Wow! you must be too desperate!!! well, it's your choice... EMS normally cost you 50% more than normal shipping rate... fast and secure, no doubt about that!!!

1/24 - not many choice for quality category... mostly Tamiya plastic models....
1/18 - oh! plenty... you have Minichamps, Kyosho, AA, HW, lot more US, Japanese brands... check it out over the web...

Porsche - Any model - should have plenty of options in 1/18 line... AA has a lots...
Nissan - Fairlady only - should have plenty of options in 1/18 line... AA has it... why collect the old model... go for GT-R35!!!
Mitsubishi - Evolution Series only - well it's kindda hard to find EVO in 1/24 - unless you like to build Tamiya models -
