ok 1st of all, u shouldnt read too much on gsmarena on their comments. their tech spec pages are fine to be used only as a guide of understanding. most tech blogs are reviewed biasedly. end users like us, help each other out by not making silly mistakes.
2ndly, the people u should listen to about the phones, are those that actually own it unless u want to be an early adopter. that way u can obtain neutralised feedbacks. the actual pros and cons that hardly ever get published. those people will sing till no end about how good the phone is but never tell u what's going on behind closed doors.
3rd - RM2k is a very big budget for a mobile phone. seriously, its a very big budget.
to simply put things for you, this phone is heavy. really heavy. why pay RM 2k for a heavy phone with only mediocre specifications when RM2k can get u a much higher tech mobile without the weight ? u have a big budget to play around with , i strongly suggest you overlook this model and consider getting something thats worth the money instead. this model i would say is most likely to be aimed at people who are careless and likes dropping their phones alot. its a sturdy phone i can assure u, but its just too heavy to be carried around in man's pocket. women got handbags so its ok. its heavy to begin with.

Isn't OLED screen suppose to increase the battery life?
Edit: The i7110 seems to be as thick as the N79 but a bit longer.

QUOTE(enjoylife @ Jan 20 2009, 12:35 PM) is it released yet already?? heard it was cancelled, is that true? It's not yet released but I never heard anything about it being cancelled. But I did read somewhere that this phone is not going to be available in the UK or something. And, this phone is metal, and most of the reviewers never had any problems with the phone getting hot.

I'm guessing it's gonna be released after CNY since the guy who reviewed the phone in the first page said it's gonna be released in 1 month.

Wow. That bad, eh? May I ask what sort of issues is it facing? N85 and i7110 AMOLED screen. Seems like the cost of the phone in Singapore is around S$728 (without contract). Because the N85 and i7110 uses AMOLED screen which produces far better contrast but maybe poor sunlight legibility. Especially under direct sunlight.

Just saw the dummy at Best, KLCC. It's coming soon. I have to say that it is quite long/tall. But the looks are awesome. The materials Samsung used for this phone are excellent.
