yes, that boulder move is what "pro's" spam most often...and they have better accuracy...so...imagine how difficult it is to approach doronjo...XD, and you need to use her goons more often too

also, when you use the attack to pull your opponents to doronjo...you can put her into "sleep mode, a.k.a lying on the floor" and doronjo will juggle her opponents for a longer combo

i must admit that i seldom use anti air's...as usually i either jump up in the air to attack the opponents with the anti air kick, or i just try to evade the attack and get my on attack going on after evading that attack

however, if i see that those attempts are futile, i'll go with shoryuken sooner or later...lol (and i need to remember to use it as a defensive instead of an offensive move)

doronjo's level 1 is only usable when your opponents are getting up from the ground, being blasted high up the air/ wall bounced...as you need the boulder to fall down...the only time i got hit by that is that because i tried too hard to approach your hyper and tried to melee it instead of using the shin hadoken to break the hyper...it's so much easier...lol

as for frank's hyper...it's kinda predictable...but i tend to fall for it...lol, but the DHC with doronjo and frank is a good surprise

there are really good saki players out there...and to keep the pressure up, they use the energy ball to defend themselves and attack with whatever ammo they think is suitable...and as "useless" as the level 3 is, it's good to catch your opponents with it once in a while...especially those aggressive ones...lol

during the hadoken vs the megabuster, i thought that my hadoken will run out of juice first...luckily, i was wrong...it's a draw...haha

and as for my karas...i think i mentioned this before, but one of the good players in gamefaqs did told me that he had trouble dealing with my karas in particular...so, fear my karas...but not others...=p

p.s. karas is really useless when his main attacks are being blocked, and since i use the wiimote, i can be predictable at times

lets get a game going soon, what time you free? 10am?

there's the move where you pull your opponents closer towards doronjo, and the time to set up the lying on the floor move is sufficient...try it...=)

Added on March 20, 2010, 9:52 ami think it's "minor" but adaptable lag...at least both of us adapted to the lag i think...lol

oh, and ok, i'll catch ya at night then if possible...=)

Added on March 20, 2010, 8:50 pmso, anyone up for games? what time?...9.00pm onwards?

kk, be there soon (i'll set up)

Added on March 20, 2010, 10:40 pmhey jon,

good effort today, however...i think you really need to beef up your frank/doronjo/ saki a little bit more

try to combo more in training mode...set the dummy to auto guard and you can practice to chain combos better there

also, try not to waste HC bars like i said earlier...you were mega crashing a lot today...>.<"

maybe you'll need to look up gfaqs to learn up some cool combo chains there too?

cool practice matches...=)

oh, and some other things to take note of:

1)
A DHC from doronjo into frank's beam is a lot better in comparison to the other way around as frank can store time for doronjo with his beam but doronjo actually free's your opponents from the beam

2)
Frank's hyper is punishable...i've been trying to tell you that by using ryu's hadoken and karas' "flash step" whenever you miss the attack...

Try too use hypers when you know that you will nail it...and if you whiff it...it's mostly due to lag

By nailing a hyper it's usually when you wallbounce an opponent, or they fall onto the ground

3) The match where you used doronjo's counter attack, i switched to a shinku and you used frank's megabuster and i switch to karas spinning blade special was memorable...haha

4) Karas spinning blade is punishable too when it misses the opponent...during the last "slash" animation...dash towards me to start your combo or use a range special if you worry that your timing may be off

well, i have 2 major ways to use karas lvl 3, but there's actually 4 ways...the other 2 is a little new to me and risky to use

the 2 ways that i usually use are:
1) wallbounce
2) chain grab

the other 2 ways are:
1) slide attack
2) on the first "flash step" motion where you are able to knock your opponents off balance during then

i tend to either use the wrong inputs for the above, or miss my timing, or proceed with my usual playstyle ignoring the fact that i need a level 3 out...kinda on auto pilot...XD

to counter my karas, you will need a pretty good understanding of how i use it, and be a little bit more on the defensive side...if you wanna go on the offensive, come in from the air a little bit more often...but don't start your journey from afar, you will most likely get wallbounced by that

i find the 3 most difficult characters to win against are:
zero
kaijin no soki
alex

i know that you like to use frank in this game...so, practice how to chain his combo more and you may want to try his infinite combo which can be found in the gfaqs boards...try not to whiff so much of his attacks too

your air combos with doronjo is pretty good i must say...but you need to keep the consistency up

so...you felt lag in our matches is it?...i think it must be sometimes a lag spike sometimes during our game

yea, i was kinda surprised by the cart moving through me too, i don't know how it happened, but the game must have recognized it as "passable" during that time...for what reason, i'm not sure...but i don't think that's due to lag...could be either a programming issue or a "priority/ invulnerability" issue

haha, you really like frank, don't cha?

anyway, i kinda found another way to use karas lvl 3...but i'm still not that used to that yet...however, if i get used to it, i'll be able to surprise my opponents with another lvl 3 attack.../gg

i took a break too from this game...may be slightly rustier than usual...XD

hope to catch ya up someday...=)

oh, you are lagging is it? for me here seems quite ok

maybe because you are using CC...so the moves are a little off timing and is harder for you to execute?

one of the match you nearly won though, good job...

the other round where we just ended...i kinda predicted that you will use the counter move...and you did...XD

kk, i'll be there...=)

to be honest, i find that yatter 1 is more difficult to win in comparison to frank

there were some close rounds...a little more you would have won...haha

anyway, your mega crashes still needs to be timed correctly...XD

yea, you need something to hit me from a distance and close in soon...even something as short as zero's sword does wonders...but alex is a beast with his bare hands...>.<"

i think the game dced suddenly...but we both were still connected to the WFC...i saw you whiffing a lot of your air combos though at the end...so, it's a sign of pretty bad lag i guess?

sorry jon, wasn't really reading the forums, and at this time of post as well, i'm not that free to at this moment...probably i wont be playing this too for today (or maybe if i do, it'll be around 8pm/9pm there?)...cos i'm having my wii motion + hooked up to my wiimote as i'm playing redsteel 2 now...XD

it's a pain stripping that off the mote and put it on again after that...you get what i mean, right?XD

red steel 2, it's quite fun...but the downside is still the swordplay i guess...

i hate tilting the sword horizontally...it's really hard to do so even with the wm+, but otherwise, nice graphics, lots of colors...and i think the story and the gameplay mechanics are pretty cool too...=)

haha, i wasn't on earlier...and i don't plan to play this game atm...(i got the bloody wm+ attached to my wiimote, which makes me feel lazy to turn on my wii atm)...lol, and i don't wanna get disappointed to turn my game on and see you not around in wifi...=(

anyway, yes, i use the wiimote only...and man, those players were complaining of button lag there and told me that i was lagging horribly against them as well...but the way they play i found that it was pretty "natural" to me...i mean...if there really is better connection out there, i have not experience it either fortunately or unfortunately...lol (that is why i say that i have really adapted to the button lag out there unless if it is really terrible)

they don't like to fight such players is probably because of lag switchers and ragequitters...or they just spam projectiles with the wiimote, hence they dislike fighting them

people who had actually fought me were commenting that they really do think that i'm probably one of the better, stronger wiimote user out there and commenting that i really have a troublesome karas out there too...lol, but otherwise, the others were commenting about the horrible button lag they were experiencing while they were having a match with me...oh well

as for L4D2, i don't really play PC games much lately...and i must say that i have a crappy PC at the moment...however, i plan to change my PC in the next 2 months time to await for Star Craft 2 and plan to buy the ori version and play with an above average tier PC...and hopefully the online play doesn't lag...lol, you plan to play this in the future? if you do, i'll look forward to play this with you too...i love Strategy games (too bad supreme com 2 and CnC4 is terrible, from the news i heard)

till next time...=)

I may have the time jon, but if i'm not around by 9.40pm, most likely i ain't playing the wii...XD

hope to see you though...=)

p.s. if i'm not around / not there when you are playing, feel free to play others too

(newly added Friday, Apr 2nd...8.40pm)
there's a system bug which will wipe out your records (free, ranked, etc) if you play ranked/ free battles...i dunno how high is the probability you guys will encounter this bug, but it exists...and i don't really know whether had it infest the friendly/ rival battles too...so just be cautious if you have like above 5kbp, and played like over 1k matches in free battles (with a quite impressive win% record)...don't be surprised if you lose it after 1 match...XD

well, personally, i don't care much...but i do have like around 2k battles played at free battles...with an 80% win rate from that total...just gonna be a little heartbroken if that gets wiped...but it won't really have a significant effect on me though...haha (not to mention around 3k BP too i guess)

ah, so i was wondering where were you at 9.40pm...XD

anyway, it's not like the matches i've played are not laggy, it may be laggy...as probably the wiimote absorbed the input mismatch into combos...and i may have been adapting to these inputs...hence, it may just be me...XD

k, catch ya later...i wonder how bad were the input lags for you between the matches that we had

lol, yea, it was probably a little bit laggy at the beginning because i was on my way near my final minutes to complete my buffing of naruto anime...so, it may have affected the online at that moment

anyway, yea, the 2 times you won was basically:

1) i was being rash with my air dash and got caught with the anti air special from saki

2) that level 3 hyper from doronjo which took 34k hp from my karas...that was...really bad...

anyway, i think you still got the habit of mega crashing out of nothing...so...it's better if you only use it if you know a really long combo is coming

otherwise, i must say that you had became better at using saki (at least now you are comboing that two hypers)...not that you are the first to do so...=p, it's 20k ++ dmg when i get hit by that unblockable bullet

also, i must admit that i was kinda testing a new way to use the level 3 from karas...in training, it really can hit when i was using the slash combo...but when i was up against you, the timing went really off...so, i doubt that is a good move to use the attack (but oh well, maybe because i was a little slow (doubting) to know whether the hit registers or not...so, the level 3 missed the target...XD

in addition to that, if you noticed, i didn't use the wallbounce move as often too...i was usually slashing instead of using the wallbounce...but there were times that if the wallbounce was the move that came up, it would have been a hit instead of a block...XD

there are a lot more styles you can experiment with, such as a double hyper combo with saki (uses 3 bars)...with a beam special (ryu/frank)...and a reload from saki, although the beam may be blocked...firing the bullet will nab you a victory too...so, you'll need 4 bars in total to set this up...and probably a fifth bar will be used if you wanna shoot the character in the air with the anti air move after the bullet

you've became better with saki's specials i must say...especially when you reload the bullet right before the character lands which kinda makes the attack unblockable (i dunno, but i can't seem to block it)

ggs...=)

Added on April 11, 2010, 12:40 amsome quick words before i go to sleep, sleepy liaw...i'll fill in the details tomorrow if i still remember how our battles went...XD

anyway, the connection now is pretty good i must say, the moments that it was kinda laggy was my sis is using the internet at that time

anyway, i can see that you've really improved on your game as well (you played sometime before this?XD)

at least now you don't simply megacrash and kinda forced me to reduce my Instant Air Dash (IAD) a whole lot of time with your saki and frank aiming their lvl 1 special at me whenever i do so...lol

gg's...=)

haha, i found it (the connection) quite ok though...dunno is it because i'm using a wiimote, adapted to the lag...or my router is pretty close to my wii (about 3 meters away only at most)

there were moments where my sis were using the internet though, but i think it only affected 3 matches out of those (just normal web browsing, so there were some lag spikes here and there)

i think one of the reasons i find you playing better is because you've been jumping a lot in comparison to last time...and also, you've been sometimes jumping away from me which makes me more difficult to get a hit to your characters

you've become better overall though...you played/ practiced before having this match with me?XD

and i do believe you've somehow learned the way i play from playing so many games with me...lol (there was a moment when i knew that because you've been playing so much with me that i predicted a lvl 1 from your saki and indeed you've done that with my character just standing on the ground...XD)
