it's normal. they dont normally put the whole changelog in the update screen

i've discovered something on the net (it's quite old). some ppl managed to unpack/extract the updater (pup). and inside the updater there are many small files for each function/part. and the updater only patch the older version of the file in the ps3 flash with the new file in the updater..

so let's say the files/prx for trophy is unchanged since 2.43 to 2.60, it will not be updated again if the version is same. so for ppl who are having problem with the trophy prx when it first installed, maybe the updater will not reflash it again if the file version is the same in both the flash & pup..

but somehow they must have the file verification after every flashing right?
if not, maybe that explains why some ppl still have the trophy problem even after updating to the latest firmware. maybe the only way to fix it is by waiting for the new version/revision of the prx.

well, various mirrors are provided in the first post for a reason. not all ip has the same route to those servers. try the other mirrors or change your ip range

normally i just remote-upload to rapidshare first
then i download from rapidshare

can get 150kBs

if direct from any sony mirrors, i can only get 100kBs max

office network

mine only from home. office uses 2mb asdl shared with many ppl

4mb combo is 160 only
which is screamnut + phone rental = rm160

my place can only get 2mb downstream

but it feels like 1.5mbit connection
