ww2252tq is a higher model compared to w2242...frm google, seems that the 2252tq is quite well received... hmm.gif

Actually the human eye can hardly notice between 2ms and 5ms let alone ghosting at 5ms. brows.gif

a question for y'all..

if i bought a 22" lcd with native reso 1920x1080.
and if i tuned it down to 16sumtin for gaming, would i see any significance drop in pic quality?
*
Sure will. Unless you want to watch 1080p stuff on 1920x1080 @ 22", get a 1680x1050. Because the pics wouldn't look as sharp as it would on native res.

You could make it look better by running 1680x1050 using 1:1 mapping or use the driver to map, but there will be black bars around and it will look smaller. What's the point in doing this when you could get 1680xx1050 on 22" easily? If can afford to get Blu-ray stuff, you'd probably be able to afford something better anyways.

should i wait for the coming BenQ T2200HD & E2200HD
which is around rm700 also ?

im quite urgent cause my 15"crt antique just burned.

altho my monitor support 1680 x 1050, i use it at 1440x900, at 1680x1050, even on 22" it is abit difficult to read, well to melah atleast, since normally large screen we place it abit away, i got such a big screen i dont wish to stress my eyes tongue.gif

duno wheter benq lcd improves or not with the new model, lg is coming out with new model too hence the price drop.

own a g2200w before, weird enough benq have less bleeding but other then tht, lg is better.

Hi guys,

streamyx problem these past few days.

Im sure that the one i bought is LG W2252TQ smile.gif @ rm650 @ Pyramid. Actually that day i wanted to buy the LG w2242T at Digital Mall PJ. Some users reported that the Samsung 2253LT? has some hissing/buzzing sound so i canceled that from my list. Can someone confirm this?

The W2252TQ is similar to the W2242T except:

- Glossy frame
- different body design
- FUN button <-- I dont think Ill be using the functions biggrin.gif

Short review,

- Has 4 customizable presets.. the Movie preset works great out of the box.
- to me picture quality is good.. black=black, blue=blue etc2.. ive got a TV to watch movies on
basically it fulfills my need..

cons,

- a bit of backlight bleeding at the side.. the type that "you wont see it if you dont look for it". unnoticable under normal usage.
- the stand is a bit flimsy..
- FUN Button functions are not that useful ( Sephia mode, etc..)

Directions to the shop where i bought it:

That's why I always want to know about text for T2200HD. T2200HD may be good only for movie.

w2242t pretty much same with w2252tq from this review too. minus the glossyness tongue.gif and some other funky function biggrin.gif

if reviews say w2252tq has a great lcd on it, then w2242t basically the same smile.gif

From LG website, W2242t has 5ms response time but w2252tq 2ms (GTG). Another difference is the contrast ratio. (10,000 vs 8,000)

^ Definitely 16:10.

Most games also have widescreen mode, which means you can see a bit more on the sides compared to 4:3.
