Malaysia NT should learn from them lah... move the National Stadium to Genting Highland or Cameron Highland. All the player must live there. laugh.gif We can beat Argentina at least 3-0 i think. tongue.gif

The infamous La Paz has claimed another prize scalp. I've no doubt that it makes a difference playing there given the altitude. I mean when the air is thin, it's harder to breath but come one, you are talking about arguably the best team in the world here. There's no excuse for this defeat. Here is a team that's not played in the World Cup since what? 1990?

1994 me think. Well, Brazil unbeaten record in WC qualifying was ended here also back in 1993, IIRC.

If the World Cup were held there it would last for about a year given the number of stadiums they have.

These Bolivia players are breathing in Oxygen right?
How come they can coup so well with the thin air?
Some supernatural powerful lungs or heart?

this not about supernatural power,it about normal life become paranormal,Bolivian player born and grow up with the thin air so they have no problem breath in high land, the same thing to us,we grow up here in Malaysia, hot sun is nothing to us,i think we can hold Finland or maybe win with small goal margin if we play at 4pm in KL but if we play Finland at Helsinki surely we will lost with huge big margin because our player cant hold icing temperature -5Celcius - 10Celcius there

yea agree....its about the environment.....just like when the world cup was held in south korea n japan last time out.....many european side keep on complaining about the hot weather n didnt perform well.......but still to lose until 6-1 is unacceptable for argentina national team due to the environment......hope next game we will do better....... flex.gif flex.gif

Hmm I don't think there's anything supernatural about it. Thought it was common sense that we adapt to our environment and based on conditioning and training, are able to do certain things better or longer. Why can a diver hold his breath longer than you or I? Were they all born with bigger lung capacity? How come is it Africans have more stamina when it comes to marathons/long distance running? Once again, I think the explanation is pretty simple.

i AGREE99% of the above except, we (Malaysian national team) wont be able to hold Finland even at 1.00PM.
Finland might not be in the top 10 of European team, but in Litmanen they got one of the best player in the world.
(Not sure he is still able to play)
Jasskelainen a very good GK. Hyppia & Tihanen not a slouch defender. & Forsell still a decent striker.

Unless they fielded their under 12 girls squad.

Where are Argentina fans? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Argentina won their latest WCQ match against Colombia 1-0, thanks to Daniel Diaz's goal. About the match, erm, I'm just wondering, do football managers nowadays really consider fouling opponents as one of the tactics to break the rhythm of their opponents? I'm fine with playing aggressively, but after watching Colombian players played like a group of thugs, I was wondering, did their manager ask them to do so? When they failed to challenge or tackle the Argentinians, they just pushed their opponents to the touchline. Very cynical. The match was really a pain in the eyes, compared to the Uruguay - Brazil match. Even Tevez struggled, let alone the pint-sized Messi, or Veron.

Getting one of the key players injured will be a big advantage to them especially when they are one goal down, no?

Erm, do you mean the Colombians tried to injure the Argentinians? Maybe yes, based on how they played.

Why did they do that for the whole 90 minutes? Were all the fouls committed stated in their initial game plans? Football managers nowadays will do everything just to win? AFAIK, referees blow their whistles to control a match, not to accommodate dirty tactics which are employed just to destroy other teams.

I'm amazed, in the end of the match, there was a Colombian player tried to attack the ref. Really, they are a group of thugs.

OMG shakehead.gif shakehead.gif What happen to Albiceleste nowadays. Shocking performance. By far Ecuador is the better team. No wonder they get the lead now. 10 minutes left for now though.

Argentina 1 - Spain 2

1'st half was painful to watch, Argentina was playing mediocre, Maradona says 2nd half was better but I didn't watch coz I left the mamak shop :-)

http://goal.com/en-us/news/1771/yahoo/2009...s-loss-to-spain

ps. I'm not a fan of Argentina, but a fan of Maradona, but I got to admit his coaching skills are not that great, then again even Dunga had his rough patch with Brazil initially, hopefully Maradona will get better by World Cup

argentine midfield seems not function well and what they do, they blame messi, they expect messi to lift the team, little that they know there's a limit for what 1 person can do..
