Pre-ordered mine through Gamestop. Waiting for my key to arrive and might cancel my order if its out of stock.

Gameplay overall is really fun, there is no limit on how you create your hero, all thanks to the Framework which allow you to mix and match on the powersets.

Graphically, its tailored for XBOX360 but you get to optimize it for high FPS gameplay.

If i would have to compare to City of Heroes / Villains, CO stands up brightly in terms of customization, server management as well as combat system.

You dont just stand there and pew pew, smash smash and get humped. Instead, you get to move while attack, giving advantage to your combat. Best is you play it with a gamepad. I am playing it with keyboard so all my fingers is in use while fighting.

Simply said, if you have played Champions RPG, you would find CO identical to whats on the pen and paper RPG. If you played CoX for long time, you would find CO a new home which have less grind (so far).

@ImUrDaddY, server is located in LA. Latency was so-so during beta but may improve on launch.

I was in the closed beta but the latency is unplayable from Malaysia. Unless they add closer servers I'm definitely not getting this. I really hope it's better after launch but I doubt it.

Head start in one hour and i have yet to receive my key sob sob sad.gif

True, latency was nuts during CB, was very smooth during OB and i should expect something better during launch.

Edit : got my key biggrin.gif

I would say very smooth on the network part despite some rough performance on a full shard. I manage to get a good 308ms on peak and 278ms on off-peak.

On client side performance, its all about visual tweaking to have a fun playing experience.

Otherwise, its all smooth. The head start launch is a great success and hoping for the same on the official launch later tonight @ 1am. Besides all the good stuff, the bad stuff is on pets and action figures path finding some known bugs on certain framework.

Do not get confused, there is no server in Australia. What was announced is the availability of box retail of Champions Online in Australia. Everyone connects to one server which is located in LA.

pick Desert, not Canada. And turn off Outlining in graphics options.

This game has taken our raid leader away for the next 4 weeks >.< it's pretty nice. TS could change the tag since it's not beta anymore.

@spacelion : desert is fun but Grond tends to be quite distrubing. I picked Canada due to the zombies over there (L4D anyone? tongue.gif)

@gafun : My ping hovers from 300ms ~ 378ms, sometimes it shoots up to 400ms. When i tried Jaring line for CO, the ping was good, 266ms ~ 302ms.

tsb.com.my have Champions Online listed : http://www.tsb.com.my/product.cfm?id=1566&cid=3&pc=1

pcgame.com.my have it too : http://www.pcgame.com.my/product_info.php?...roducts_id=2488

Most likely we might be getting the game during mid of September. If you cant wait, Direct2Drive is the best place to buy it digitally.
