Wharfy 9.1 not bad, price range is arround RM850-900 and cheapest i quote is RM800. From Desa Audio LYP, i was 3 months ago.
All audio stuff's price hike recently, but you can try to get some 'old' stock.
Dont forget to put Tannoy Mercuru MX1 in your shotlist too, my 2 cents smile.gif

What is the different between 9.1 and 9.4 in term of sound quality? Coz from the spec, I saw both almost the same except one is floor stand and the other one is bookshelf and the mid/bass is 1 inch bigger. But the price iof 9.4 is 2x more than 9.1.

Diamond 9.1 supporter here... I thought Wharfedale is much sought locally, but this thread doesn't look like it. Am I missing something or the thread has been shifted?

try Desa Home - Kepong or Lowyat, Diamond 9.1 will suit very well with ur Yammy 663. thats if u like 'warm' sound, as some other model is pretty 'bright'. all Diamond 9 series uses 'kevlar' cone - similar to B&W. thumbup.gif

Just bought 9.1s last week at Desa Home Theatre. Got a good bargain though, RM780. According to the guy (Chan or Khan, cant really rmb), he said it was the last pair, don't know true or not. Anyway, give it a try and all I could say is IT IS A BARGAIN!! Another place to hunt is Amcorp Mall.

Good hunting..

good choice - Diamond 9.1s is still the best budget spkr around. u shld have this series as front/surr with Diamond CS as centre spkr. i'm using this with Onkyo 875. thumbup.gif

Hmmm..... With Onkyo 875 you can get better result by swapping your front. Use both pair of 9.1s for surround and surround back, get a more capable speaker for front (if budget permits) and there you go, a good 7.1 system.

Just my 2 cent. No doubt 9.1 is best budget speaker around, since your avr is way capable than budget avr.

agree, i'm using Diamond 9.4 as front and both pair of 9.1 as surround. now just waiting for spkr cable & fixed 7.1. will test full DTS-HD MA 7.1 channel. rclxm9.gif
