As the topic suggests, is there a way to remove fine scratches on anodized aluminum? I have tried using toothpaste but the effect is not desirable.

QUOTE(hypermax @ Oct 11 2008, 03:31 PM) But rubbing compound is corrosive. Will it remove the original brushed texture of the anodized aluminum? but if u do it carefully sure it wont mess the texture hmm hardware or acehardware have alu polish that also can remove small scratch |

use 1500+ (ill go for 4000) sand paper with soapy water. be sure to do sanding by follow the texture. any further sanding will expose the aluminum to air and will create clogged oxide in future.
