Drogba can shoot like crazy then Anelka can assist him or maybe tap in :-p

i think what should be a cause for concern was the lack of composure shown by some players. after going 2 goals down, we hit the panic button way too soon. everyone was losing their heads and we didn't play our normal game. and just because drogba was up there, all of the lads insisted on thumping it long to him, with little to no success. i lost count of the number of times in the second half where we played it long only to be intercepted, and roma come away with the ball comfortably. oft times initiating a swift counter and dreadfully exposing our lack of numbers at the back.

Be rest assured that JT will blow whatever motivations into the players' ears, and be rest assured that Chelsea will bounce back.

what i noticed this season, chelsea already dropped their point to big club. Liverpool,MU and right now Roma.

This is not good news for Chelsea fans because yes they can win convincingly against average team but failed to win against big team.

i think i can admit that as a chelsea fan.. defeat is a defeat.. as long as we still on the right track to achieved our goal, one or two defeat is ok.. IMHO, failed to win against big team is not a sin.. its much better if you compared with arsenal rite now.. win with other average team, but failed to win with stoke, sunderland, fulham and hull.. i think whatv happen to us is much better than them.. so stop complaining about defeat:)

Drogba is also much bigger than most defenders and you'd expect him to outmuscle a good majority of them. He is almost 6' 3" tall and weighs a hefty 91 kg's. Any defender will have problems marking a player with that physique.

There is no doubting that Anelka is a really good player, it's his attitude that people have a problem with.

i agree with u.... cos i think that drogba must be "feed" sometimes to create a goal. recently just j cole and lamp can do that.. but this time both of them also want to score for their own.. lost faith.. why do u need to pass to the man who can't score. so they will score it for themselves.. lack of composure and lack of good teamwork here

Second to sanfa.

I agree that we should not drop points against big teams but heck, we are doing it consistently as you could see who is topping the table now? Liverpool may grabbed maximum points against Chelsea but don't you realise that they dropped maximum points to the bottom team as well? To me, consistency is what matters most and we should not judging a team by calculating how many times they have beaten any top teams before. Whether it is a big club or average club, most importantly is that the players go into the game with a winning mentality.

Somehow looking at our past games... i think we shouldn't have draw against spurs... should have sealed a win...

It's a past tense now. Now we should instead look forward for the next game!

Soccernet - Terry said: "The result is maybe a kick up the backside that we needed. Maybe we need to realise we are not the best side that we thought we are.

"We didn't start well and gave Roma a lift. We had plenty of possession but we didn't really go anywhere. Roma's line-up wasn't very attacking; things have been difficult for them at home with their fans - and the pressure was on them and their manager.

"They hadn't won for two months, and we gave them the perfect start by not getting out of first gear. It gave them the confidence they needed.'

"Four of us were there - including 'Big Pete' [goalkeeper Petr Cech] - and we didn't deal with the ball. We needed to stay with the runners. After that, Alex and I were pushing on and trying to come back - and the team was all over the place.

"We showed no sign of the fight and determination that over the last few years has got us to where we've been. Apologies to the fans. It was a great turn-out - and sorry for the result.

"We have been playing some really good football with brilliant movement of late. But that has been collectively, as a team, and that is why we have been walking around teams and scoring goals. We didn't have any of that this time. We thought we could beat Roma as individuals - and we could never do that.''

Great leader! One who takes responsible and stick his own head out for the team!
