Mourinho: Fantastic four are divers

Inter Milan's Jose Mourinho says Didier Drogba, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando Torres and Robin van Persie "are the divers" in English football.



Chelsea striker Drogba has often been criticised for going to ground too easily but was vigorously defended by former Blues boss Mourinho during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Now, just over a year after leaving Chelsea, Mourinho has turned on the 30-year-old while also hitting out at Ronaldo, Torres and van Persie for the same thing.

He told feelfootball.com: "I am no longer Chelsea coach, and I do not have to defend them any more, but I think it is correct if I say Drogba is a diver.

"Drogba, Ronaldo, Torres and van Persie are the divers. Who dives more? Who has won more penalties in recent years? But English football is the one that criticises the divers the most."

Mourinho claims he is against diving but encourages his players to go to ground if they are fouled.

He added: "I hate diving, but I'm not happy if a player is kicked by somebody in the box and he tries to remain standing.

"It's very, very rare a referee gives a decision if the player doesn't go down so I tell players not to be naive, but to be fair."

i dunno...i think we need somebody young and dangerous for our finisher... we can't forever rely on drogs and anelka aren't we?

Tonite will go to my favorite mapley....wif tonnes of frens....(liverpool fans unfortunately...) But..i think we mi9ight edge this one a bit...cross fingers.

Correct mr sanfa.....what i saw in the chelsea vs liverpool match it was like watching liverpool vs stoke match this season...they stuck all their player in their half midfield...park their bus..no striker or what o ever. formation 5-5-0........and just trying their luck to counter....which i think is not a beautiful thing to do in football and later that morning...they claimed to play the best defensive and will win the premiership. Well...its about time they lost ady last night..

And all the goals yesterday from the blues... wow...what can i say...top quality and its like playing against a different level team.

Edit: Not being overjoyed.....now asking fellow Chelsea player to train hard...we must get results from ROma...we can do it~

Ah Mr Duke...its ok if one of the buses shots some long shot hoping it somehow end up in goal. I congratulate Liverpool into that...Mourinho is past...but one of our traits is crisp passing and build up...and i am definitely not a fan of long ball hoping it will end up to strikers..well...personal preference right? I clearly could agree 1-0 is a win...but an ugly win it is...... cheers....2-1 also an ugly lost right? I clearly disagree that Liverpool only defended in the 90th minutes Are you sure? its like most of the time when chelsea players holding the ball...liverpool is just sitting down there inside own half....even striker...good tactic i agree... only way to contain our crisp passing

Aiyyo....didn't watch the game last night... but is there something wrong with chelsea? Losing 3-1? Hurm....hope we just bounce back from the defeat andcontinue the journey for CHampions League. Never say never.
