Bro, Seriously, some moderators are power crazy and power hungry. Chill and smoke some weed. Geez. Cheering isn't an offense, but wasting bandwidth cheering here in CHELSEAFC thread without offering any meaningful facts or posts, that's a menace. I cheered for the club, but I added in some substances as well. That well defines what's a forum, a place for discussions, meaningful discussions. If you post something solely for cheering purpose, then what for we need the thread? And why do we need this forum? You can simple sing you heart out aloud anytime anywhere and no one objects. This is a place where R&R are applied, we as the forumers, should respect it. |

ballack, kalou and ivanovic all on the score sheet for their respective countries!
marimo if u observe alex's performances for psv, he was mighty impressive! even getting the winning header against arsenal during the group stages of the ucl not too long ago. but at chelsea he hasn't matched that form due to a lack of games i think. so ivanovic gets my vote now mainly because he's hit the ground running. |

Btw, Alex is a good defender, dominating the air but still a lil slow compared to Ricky. |

QUOTE(MariMo @ Oct 12 2008, 12:41 PM) i wud say that im agree with you,but he cant simply be the 1st eleven if terry and calvalho still on form or un-injured.So,i dont know how,or when can he played unless our key player is injured or exhausted..but yet, ivanovic and alex..both a great replacement for our current players( JT and calvalho) |

depends on who our opponent are.
If we are against team play fast football, better use ivanovic. If against team that rely on set pieces, then better use Alex. |

yup good point micro. but if a team uses a combination of both, ivanovic would be the 'safe' choice i guess. terry can help deal with the aerial threat.
we don't have to worry about the central position that's for sure. terry gets some much needed rest from internationals. sometimes our 'bionic man' tends to play with injuries and that could work against him in the long run |

You guys are forgetting one important aspect of being a defender, its positioning. That's why Ricky is better than both Alex and Ivanovic because he doesn't need to second guess where the striker/midfielder to go, when is he going to strike, etc. Good example is Ricky's game @ man city recently.
