Wow it's been 6 years already since frontier? Damn time flies

I hope they could recycle Macross 7 concept in the new macross (yeah bash me all you want).

I like the concept of playing guitar/music instruments to pilot a valkyrie rather than a diva sing inside a battleship to moralize the entire fleet.

Ain't gonna bash you on that .... but Macross Frontier nicely balanced that out .... instead of one idol, we've got TWO idols (three, if you wanna count Alto-Hime ... heh, a Kabuki-idol), but Macross 7 really pushed the concept of music far farther than any Macross sequels.

Anyone got the Macross Frontier F Final Galaxy Tour CD or the *ahem?

i like the music in MF but M7 band music is more my kinda thing.....

m7 = rock/metal
mf = jpop

i hope the new one isn't going to be rapping

holllyy crap!!! a new macross

macross frontier left me deeply emotional. one of the best heart touching anime's ever.other macross were great but frontier was a whole new level. from the story, song, characters and all.

only thing that some fav chars were killed. sad on that part.cant wait for this new one.

tv series = michel dies, everyone else alive, love triangle unresolved, sheryl magically cured, leon didn't die, grace died
movie = alto and brera MIA, everyone else alive, no love triangle but no couple as well coz one in coma another MIA, leon died, grace died

i dunno which will be canon though

yeah i know the ending they did for the movie. both was open ended of sorts. not a proper closure of any sorts haha

today re-listen to M7 and MF soundtracks
still prefer Yoshiki Fukuyama's nekki basara songs......more uptempo

that was like the rock song age of macross.

fire bomber songs are very uplifting. would listen to them whenever i am feeling sad or needed a boost

Got to admit Macross 7 was one special breed. I was annoyed by it first, but later on I was like damn this Guy is a true love and peace type no guns throughout the whole anime, only music.

Yeah.

It kinda grows on you.

God of dodge also, his Valkyrie not even a scratch through the whole series.
How many valks did alto bust?

The part I find it most touching is how Basses sing the Power to the Dreamer and the bad Guy also touch by him.

i remember the bad guys and even gamlin were singing basara's songs in the final episode

i download some of the old robotech music.
the themes are great but minmei really out of tune.....really hard to listen to her
