Another hard-fought lucky win. But that is the way MU is taking anyway. We just need to keep the pace and take advantage when they drop points.

Villa Cup hero Dixon dies at 85

Johnny Dixon captained Villa to their last FA Cup win - back in 1957

Aston Villa's FA Cup-winning captain Johnny Dixon has died at the age of 85.

The inside forward, who could also play on the wing, spent 17 years as a player at Villa Park after joining from Spennymoor United in 1944.

The highlight of Dixon's career was captaining Villa to their last FA Cup victory, when they beat Manchester United 2-1 at Wembley in 1957.

Having scored in his last league game, against Sheffield Wednesday, he spent six years as a youth coach at the club.

The other highlight of Dixon's career was helping Villa get promoted to the old Division One in 1960.

Dixon, born and bred on Tyneside, spent the rest of his working life still in the West Midlands as an ironmonger before retiring in 1985.

Looks like O"neill's gonna stick with the same numbers of players...a bit worrying cause it may jeopardize our Champions League ambition icon_question.gif

actually if you look at the bench players, most of them are young and ineperience ... except reo coker and harewood ... so the signing of in form heskey will definitey increase the bench's quality

ah.. so unlucky last night. Wigan had defend thier goal with thier lives. haha.. I think at least there are 4 goal line clearence.. But happy to see Carew is back again and it was a good performance from the lads. Barry was absoulute quality last night. He literally slices Wigan's midfield. Fantastic!! Next match-> vs Doncaster. Ashley Young will back from his 3 match suspension. Great news!!

Ya, really unlucky against Wigan. sad.gif

With Chelsea dropping points, we had a chance to go third if we won.
