Does it have any menu?

My guess:

The disc is a double-layer DVD.
The file format structure is AVCHD (playable on BD players, but not on normal DVD players).
The source is a 720p/1080p MKV files, ripped from the original BD.

checked with laptop... it detected the disc as blu ray. but showed only 6.5Gb under properties & zero free space. Guess it must be DVD... but was unable to play it with pc. Can play with PS3.... AQ/PQ is like the real thing. strange... any comments?

seriously guys, the boss of AVP who has yrs of experience with AQ & PQ said he couldn't tell the diff between ori BD. We played this ahem BD with Denon 4308 + some highend hi-fi speakers (i forgot name, SGD65k/pair) + 2 12" Canton subs & display was Mitsubishi 1080p projector (SGD6k) on 123" screen....

that big a screen and PQ was perfect.. but was played quite loud so maybe hard to tell diff between DTS & LPCM audio??

haha.. i sound like salesman liao... biggrin.gif

Added on November 12, 2008, 11:17 pmaiyo... i just got 7pcs of BDs this mth.... cannot take another mini bulk of 5 more.. haha. will get HB2 later smile.gif

Have you tried playing remuxed 1080p MKV files, ripped from BD, on your PS3? The PQ is almost as good as the real thing.

I can even create this AVCHD DVD myself, using programs like Gotsent ot TSMuxer.

The laptop normal DVD-ROM can read the properties because it's a normal DVD disc. But DVD players can't because it doesn't recognize the file structure format.

Most BD players can, some even have AVCHD logo on it.

Yes, expensive. It is creating a dent in my bank account sad.gif So, only could afford to buy those really nice movies in BD. I knew some of us here could afford almost every single in BD format whistling.gif
