PS3 plays DVD also.....that doesnt prove a thing....unless the fella can show you that the disc has a 25GB or 50GB capacity.

You know what bro, I think I can make that same disc. Programs like TSMuxer and Gotsent can create DVD9 disks with blu-ray format, even with DTS-HD MA if you want.  For shorter movies, you can even get 20mbps video. It's a DVD with blu-ray format structure, you can't play it on the standard DVD player.

So it could be that, only DVD9.

Asian PS3 can only play Region A and region free BDs. There's a link on the first page of this thread where you can check weather the Region B title is region free or not.

my laptop is Dell XPS1330... don't think it has a BD drive but detects the ahem disc as Blu Ray... don't ask me why.
