imagine the pain i suffered seeing the red lights every time my attempts failed..only the towel trick wud have caused damaged to the motherboard i think..which i regret doing..i dont think unplugging the fan wud have done any serious damage cos most of the time it was never more than 5 minutes..but tech2 wud be able to see the condition of the motherboard and tell me what to expect if i reball right..? however, seeing thats its a business they might just say its fine and reball my damaged motherboard..i'll just never play xbox again lah senang..

I got the new Falcon 360 Arcade. The power-brick failed out of the box, but was replaced for free.
The system is running strong so far.

I know the problem exist but still choose 360 over PS3,
first because of price of 360, second because of all the fantastic RPG coming out.

Still looking to get a PS3 when the price drop though,
it is a very decent machine actually.

mine is the Falcon chip...bought somewhere before Chinese New Year. So far no problem but its better to have a cooling fan directed to your Xbox for cooling. and of cos don't play for more than 4 hours. gets pretty hot later...

it's 100% get RROD but by having cooling fan and less playing hours hopefully can reduce the chances of getting RROD.

So I got kawan now. I'm hoping by next summer MS will have fixed the issues so I can rebuy a 360. I really am angry that my 360 RODed - so anyone buying now, from what I can see will have a 50% chance of it dying. It's PURE luck.
