If I'm not mistaken the retailers are forced to bundle the Arcade SKU with additional controller & and game by the local distributor to pump up the price.. heard it somewhere in LYN here, don't take my words for it.

as i know that arcade version is outa stock checked at benard and keane both also have no stock im planning to buy a 3rod 360 and get it repaired (1st time 3rod) and hope can finish gears of war 2,still not confident to buy new unit coz very xpensive and can 3rod anytime.

you got a point there..but u could rely on warrantee at least a year right? i wud say thats better than buying a 3rod xbox..mine lasted about 2 months after 1st 3rod and my friend's one not even a week..u guys know of any sites online i can check for local prices?

dats why need to select good repairman b4 send ur 3rod xbox360 eg. tech2 kinda pricey but i guess if can use almost a year consider ok la.

I m waiting for Jasper too. But i think it will hit the store in this december.

hopefully this december jasper is available.can't wait for anymore SKUs.been waiting since falcon last year but falcon also not that reliable.if jasper is still not around this year..probably going to the dark side

jasper also not sure of its reliability,its just that 360mobo got prob dats all if ms can improve the 360mobo to hold the ATI gpu heat then sure ok 1.ATI is always running hot eg my ATI HD4870 idle at 60-70degrees i had to mod the driver to speed up the fan speed dat also its 45nm GPU also very hot,even if MS upgrade the chip to 65nm still wont solve the heat issue.Faster or bigger system fan/heat sink like the ps3 will certainly improve 360 reliability.

my friend told me about tech2 but its only 3 months warranty right? mayb those who have fixed with tech2 give some input? how long already since they fixed and did it 3rod since then? oh btw thanks gundamalpha for the link..no jasper yet tho.. but even if jasper it out the arcade package wud still cause like 1000 or more right..thats kinda outta my budget so perhaps its best i go with tech2?

the bet solution 2 prevent 3 rod is to make the 3rod naked open the casing and fit a cooling fan on the heatsink 360 use passive cooling not very gud

no need to have a naked x360... just change the stock fan to a higher rpm fan or buy a RM40 external suction fan. it should provide u sufficient air flow against overheating

many of the gamers doing the reballing aint 100% ok...some of them just a week and half then 3rrod...some of them when turning the console on , the screen turn into green and purple... i dont think the reballing method the best way to fix 3rrod..

Most that aint ok with reballing is bcos they have remove the x clamp and has caused serious damage to the board so if first time 3rod can revive but if already 2nd time or more hard 2 revive,if screen become green n purple mayb because th gpu already defective coz overheat,dats why tech2 give new gpu,so he can give warranty n guarantee.

my one god knows how many times 3rod ady la..i sent to trot twice.. then unplug fan overheat 2 or 3 times.. then towel trick twice..then eraser trick few times and finally did coin trick few times..still think i shud go for reballing?

if u have already done all the tricks that damages the board better dont waste ur money in reballing as the board already seriously damaged/warped.

cannot imagine the pain tat ur 360 suffered...

dats why la i takut 2 buy a new unit cost 1.3k imagine use a week or less suddenly 3rod wana warranty hav 2 go to s'pore,2 nite im getting a 3rod console and will send it 2 benard for repair hope can play gears of war2 nex month hehehehehe.

My friend less than one year old Falcon 360 just gotten one red light. E74, beyond repairable, the board has bended a little bit by itself. Kinda disappointed with the quality already.

if the done the reballing process, is it possible the 360 will overheat again due to the nature of it's design and getting another RROD?
