Your Edge Saber is also isometric what tongue.gif
*
No, it is not, the frame slightly smaller, I measurred it (after bought vmad.gif ), and when I read read, google, google, ask, ask, actually the advantage of small frame, more power for smash, but, more chance hit frame where isometric, frame bigger, less mishit, but less power smash.

You get wrg racket =)
Mean while the seller din told u this racket do have something different?

Hi, just curious, based on your expert opinion, how do you know whether when you bought a "correct" racquet, i.e. racquet that suit your playing style? Reason, for me, it when I buy racquet, it almost like gamble one, u listen to the seller opinion about the racquet, hmm.gif you test test (without string, sometimes lucky with string and grip), swing swing, as if playing shadow badminton, but, in reality, I will not know whether the racquet suit me or not till at least u bring it to court, test it out for a game or two.

Any specific technique or way? Thanks. notworthy.gif

Hate to say it, but it is fact, the Apacs Edge Saber Z Spark is clone of Yonex Arc Saber, in term of design, but, performance wise, no comment, cause I never tried Yonex Arc Saber before.

RM10/ hour expensive? shocking.gif Wait till you see the PJ/ KL rate. So far, I know around KL/ PJ RM16 to RM22, exeption of the one in PJ Taman Mayang and Puchong, super expensive, but, funny though, quite fully packed. Maybe location good kua.

wao like cheap XD
apac the quality also good
cause worry when 2 racket kena hit then...bye bye T T

Friend, when 2 racquet hit (depends how hard you hit), any racquet oso bye bye ler, cause nowadays racquet made of carbon, light weight. Unless of course, you buy those steel racquet ler, that one, unless your partner use tennis racquet, very hard to break one. whistling.gif But, before that, make sure you got sufficient arm and wrist muscle.

That's why unless u really pro until racquet is sponsored, or money not issue for you, just get the average price racquet is sufficient (in my personal opinion).

Apacs Nano9900 seems to me like quite old model (at least 2 to 3 years old), but, no doubt, it good racquet. I tried used my friends one few times. Not sure if it still in production or not, seems quite hard to find, most shop carry 1 or 2 pieces only, not sure whether is their leftover stock or what.

My method, I will benchmark against the current racquet I use, I find what I like or dislike about my current racquet.

So, say I like my current racquet, so, I will try to buy a few pieces, just as spare, in case one break. If it already discontinued, then, I will tell the shop, the characteristic I looking for, based on the model I am using, usually, they able to advice.

My 2 kupang comments, head heavy rackets, good for smashing, more power, disadvantage, you need strong arm, your reflexes may slowed when defence, cause u need to against the gravity, swing the racquet head facing down upwards (as compare to headlight racquet). Therefore, more suitable for attacking player.

Head balance, or headlight racket, opposite, smash less power than head heavy, but more easier to control. So, more suitable for defensive player or those like counter-attack.

Hi guys,

Gotta ask about Asics Indoor court shoes.

Does anyone knows where can I get Asics shoes like the Asics Blade, Rocket Gel, Tactics & etc models in KL or PJ other than Times Square?

Does Pertama Kompleks have this shoes?

What's your comment about Asics shoes for badminton?
I have been using Gosen & Yonex, not so satisfied with it.
*
I know AJ got, but, not sure if the model you mentioned have or not. Suggest you call first before go, cause feel they have limited stock, usually, those popular size no stock one. Later go there, no stock, waste time only doh.gif worse still, later kena poison by by the boss or boss wife, give you special offer, introduce new racquet, end up buy new racquet sweat.gif , therefore, if want to go there, suggest bring ngam ngam amount, no extra money, no credit card. whistling.gif

Ok, back to your question, Asics shoes famous for their gel in their sole, so, if you jump or what, not so hurt on your knee and ankle.

BTW, may I know why you disastified with Gosen or Yonex? Actually, I trying to survey, to find a better shoe too. I had used Power and Yonex before, not Gosen. Currently, using Apacs. Heard from my badminton friend, Victor not bad too (but, disclaimer, I never tried Victor that before)

Hi,

Before I got my Yonex shoe, I was using the Gosen, no issue at all.
Then i have got this Yonex shoe which I don't feel comfortable with it.
But I have use it for some time now its time to change. Then lately I have got this heel pain, not sure if its the shoe or what.
And I heard that Asics shoes have great absorption & etc, so thought of trying it.
*
Kind enuf notworthy.gif to elaborate what the issues with Yonex hmm.gif ? Actually heel pain can be due to various factors, but, most likely due to the shoe heel not thick or absorb enuf to your jump.

Frankly, as mentioned I used Yonex before, so far no issues, only issues is the price, cause I feel that their stuff is somehow overpriced cause you can get similar technology (i.e. thicker cushion on heel, gel on sole) at much lower price from other brands at even half the price. Also, I played twice a week, the shoe can last me about 1 year plus only, then, it start to become like "roller skate", very dangerous.

The boss of the shop I just bought my shoe, dunno he try to bluff or not, say even he wear RM500+ Li-Ning shoe also get cramp, then, mentioned, Yonex shoe bit pricey, for reasonable quality, you need to pay RM300+, which he then reconmend me other brand (cannot remember what, all I remember RM170+), which he claimed similar to RM300+ Yonex shoe.

hi, any 1 can recommend where buy badminton racket in GOOD price and good service.

my location in cheras,

pls recommend .thx

You can try search from this thread user name "siajolene" or something like that. Their shop is located in Cheras, but, disclaimer, I never been to their shop, only visited the threat, the facebook, etc and communicated via PM, so, from what I experience, seems that they have variety, able to advice which racket suits you (of course you tell them your budget lar). Pricing wise, from what I compare among all the common racket model, theirs is quite competitive.

Alternative, there are quite number of freelance seller here too, such as OKK, Arc, etc (you tried to search through the thread here, they post regularly too). They all also quite nice, willing to give advice without any obligation

Actually, I asked quite number of question from them, they willingly answer, and fast respond too, but, unfortunately, I had not purchase any racquet from them, awaiting $$$.

My opinion, since you been using a light racket for 11 years, I would suggest you try out those rackets that you had mentioned, if possible, or at least try to borrow from friends to hit few shots to see if you comfortable with it or not.

From my personal experience, I used to use a even head balance racket, no issue, quite happy with itthen, when it broke, tried to get back the same racket, but, unfortunately, out of production, then, talk talk with the onwer, he reconmend me a head heavy racket, since I told him I like to smash too, but, after getting it, yes, no doubt it generate more power when smash, but, the disadvantage, my swing slowed (compared to last time), cause head heavy, when in defence position, retrieving smash, racket head face downwards, then need to swing back upwards to clear the smash, so, resulted sometimes hard to retrieve smash, or even manage to retrieve, just bola tanggung type (as compare to head balance, can hit all the way to baseline). That's why if you look at my signature below, I am trying to sell it off and purchase another one with head balance racket.
