if think logically.. 1/2 tank can get 350km and full tank can get 700km..
but mine full tank 550km++ only ... but better than my previous car.. full tank can only get me 300km++  sweat.gif
*
Lol,550km full tank is consider good already,700km with full tank is quite impossible...at least for me... sweat.gif

i noticed one time i sent my car for service, they used semi syn. then after another service at another place, they used mineral oil ):

now my car feels very..slow

is this related...

slow as in pickup..or is it the ron95 ~_~
*
You can request them to put in semi-syn oil if you want. Slow in pick up? This might need a longer rev. on the engine to reach the particular speed during pick up.

but I only noticed mine happening like a few days back ):

Some have said bad oil filter,  bad gas etc etc, leaking cvtf..

i changed my ron95 to 97 today..and i noticed thrs a liquid on the floor in the morning but its water lar so i dun think its the cvtf leaking ):

and really, whats a choking? it feels like it..like the engine gasping for air before it continues, like a quick jerk ):

T_T
*
I also don't know how to descripe here, the car sometimes really does not smooth while pick up. The liquid on the floor is water and it is aircond water only.Be make yourself frightened. laugh.gif

Yeah exactly I don't know how to describe it and it doesnt happen ALWAYS so I dont want to send it to the SC and have them tell me its tranny problem and I have to change everything and pay them 27k or whatever like that ):

I was hoping someone here knows what the problem is T_T

and yeah okay wont scare myself hahaha biggrin.gif

ps: the "jerk/choking/slip" happens only when im accelerating gradually at abt 2.5k rpm. If i accelerate hard it jumps straight to 3k and doesnt experience the "jerk/choking/slip". ): It happens when I take a corner then want to accelerate, say I was goin down the corner quite fast and the rpm is already at like 2k or 1.5k, then I hit the accelerator to go faster then it jerks one time. Its quite a bad jerk actually, can feel it and you actually go frontwards
*
I think you have talked most of the description of choking or jerking on our cars. My car is also having the same issue sometimes. Last week just settled a noise coming out from my axle on rear, one of the nut is not tight enough hence will generate some "tuk" some when crossing on the bumpy road.

again.. i'm not an expert (just throwing thoughts around) - happened to my previous cars, the culprit were the fuel filter. mechanics say sometimes the fuel filter gets blocked, and the fuel could not reach engine as much as you want them to.

worked for my previous cars - 1 carburetor, and the other is injection engine type. changed the fuel filter, then the chokes were gone - never came back. dunno if this also applies to cvt. i don't even know if it's just a myth concocted by the mechanics i visited - in my previous life (new life with City! tongue.gif )

Fuel filter,i guess might need to get a new replacement during my next service.

Yaya, slow down and accelerate will have that kind of choking/jerking usually. Guess that's the nature of CVT gear box?

any comments from experts here?

if i remember it right, the fuel filter change is included in the major service at SC. my odometer is at 117,000km - i'm still sending my 'baby' to SC btw. will send her again for major service.
*
Haha, won't blame la cause i have long time not replacing the fuel filter already. It is time for me to replace it too!

i also notice my problem doesnt happen when i activate the 7 speed transmission. (is it ok to drive with that constantly?) but i use the auto one only, cos i dunno how to use the manual one. T.t helpppp
*
Drive in 7 speed mode will consume slightly more petrol from the feedback here. Guess should be fine as long as you don't push them too hard.

QUOTE(cikun @ Oct 22 2009, 06:11 PM)
julnoel, if use 7 speed mode constantly; you'll use more fuel. i only use that to smoke dugongs & myvis. tongue.gif

1st page of this thread says the S mode on the shifter is for Sporty drive, is that true?... i thot that's for climbing hills.. haha. then, is it ok to only use that S mode, instead of D mode?

i wonder what NHC stands for? if it's New Honda City... what if there's a new model? LHC? Latest Honda City?
*
S= Sporty,i tried to use this gear while mountain climbing. You will notice that the rpm is slightly higher than the usual D mode.

@cikun,PDRM also doesn't obey the speed limit. What else is the speed limit use for?Pegawai drive fast won't involved in accident?

@julnoel,SC advices you to change new gear box? I think you will not need a replacement unless the gear box is really gone. sweat.gif

I think the SC guy is trying to persue his customers to change new gear box or go to his recommended mechanic for a 2nd hand gear box. He can get some pocket money though.
