QUOTE(ck_spaceboy @ Nov 21 2008, 09:06 AM) U did?? But tis phone is FP1 topped up with some FP2 features, so wad are the EXTRA features that you are getting with Fully FP2? Besides, the E66 is special in a way that it's got features nt available in pure-FP1 or pure-FP2 symbian phones..wad happen to yours? I really have no ideas what are the "some" FP2 features on the e66. All I know about the FP2 was the menu being different. And yeah..I didn't bother to check it out oso..haha This post has been edited by bluurpie: Nov 21 2008, 09:38 AM |

QUOTE(ck_spaceboy @ Nov 21 2008, 09:45 AM) very hard to list them down, if u wanna know its in the reviews website links from main page. But I'm curious bout how u can install FP2? Coz I cant find anything about converting FP1 to FP2 on the net. As I know, all phones are designed specifically for the OS version and not meant to work with other versions due to the hardware specs. I'm not sure on that. All I see was that the theme was listed as FP2 theme by the author and they have the menu style screenshot. I downloaded and gave it a try to see if the theme can be installed on my e66. It was successful, but with the normal menu. The stylist menu never showed up. Or maybe the theme isn't really a FP2 theme...hmm...This post has been edited by bluurpie: Nov 21 2008, 10:10 AM |

QUOTE(kwkean @ Nov 21 2008, 02:41 AM) Err this phone is using S60 FP1 with some FP2 goodies right? Can I install FP2 theme on this phone QUOTE(bluurpie @ Nov 21 2008, 02:50 AM) I've tried installing FP2 theme. Everything worked well except that the FP2 theme features such as the horseshoe menu style etc will not be available. QUOTE(ck_spaceboy @ Nov 21 2008, 10:16 AM) Bro..if its an "FP2 THEME" theme, then I think what you've downloaded is only a normal theme. Not FP2. FP2 is an upgrade software, not a theme. Errr yeah..it's the theme I'm talking about all the while dude, replying to kwkean questions ma...ehe.. |

QUOTE(lozerien @ Nov 21 2008, 04:34 PM) Hi peeps, im need of help with my E66. I'm trying to set the phonebook/contacts directory to access SIM only whenever i hit on the shortcut. From the Help option under contacts, it says that i' able to set which directory i want my contacts to be read from. But sadly, within the settting option, there is only "Name display" and nothing else. How can i go around resolving this issue? Unfortunately, as far as I know, you can't set the default phonebook to SIM CARD contacts. You need to copy them out into your phone memory as stated somewhere in the manual. Perhaps someone here has an alternative way of doing it.QUOTE(lozerien @ Nov 21 2008, 04:34 PM) Another thing, I was a SE user previously. I am kind of unsure if the phonebook is suppose to act the way it is acting now. Mine is the same too. My understanding is that the OS utilise a smart search system of which I still don't understand the criteria of searching included. As for your case, I believe Rammie turned up cos the alphabet "a" is found in the name. You can also search by initials, e.g in order to search for Rony Tan, you just need to key in "rt" in the search field. I was a SE user previously too, and I found the searching on contacts is a lot more convenient on the e66 Whenever i tried searching for a name under my contacts, it would not reference the 1st alphabet of the contact. Eg: Albert Rammie King when i enter 'a' <-- its always lowercase ( am i able to change it /would it influence how it would find the contacts if the names were written in uppercase) it would display Albert and Rammie at the same time, is this normal ps: Painful but rewarding journey with the E66. QUOTE(ck_spaceboy @ Dec 2 2008, 08:40 AM) According to most people from several forums it works. Apparently, that's a service that autostarts with the phone and running in background. And that service is hogging the processor power. |

QUOTE(ck_spaceboy @ Dec 2 2008, 03:18 PM) From what I've read, that file is a service of Garmin Mobile XT for location message. If let's say you send me a location message from your garmin, the sms will be interpreted automatically by this service and have GMXT loaded so that the location will be shown directly in the map. Therefore, the service is constantly running to capture the location message received. If the file is deleted, the location message will be interpreted by the phone as a normal sms or mms only. This post has been edited by bluurpie: Dec 2 2008, 04:41 PM |
