Camera on phones are usually not meant for professional photographing, but more for convenience and for capturing images for uploading to the net, sharing etc. A simple digital camera will do the tasks much better.

The E66 is truly a rock-solid-built phone. Not to mention the stainless steel finishing truly captures the attention of the crowd. Besides, if you can notice, the main casing of the grey E66 (plastic) is actually metallic with tiny shining particles!! Wow..

e71 is always cheaper than e66..perhaps e66 has better demand for the better looks and elegance..

well for the meantime i will sit back and wait for all the phones to roll out still waiting for n85 and n79 .
and also funding, im attracted to e66 when the first time i saw it. really nice design

Haha..no lar..i bought it mainly becoz of its WLAN and GPS coz I travel a lot on business trips...

Please do consider what are the features that you are really looking for coz there's difference between E-series and N-series as each has its own advantages. Not to mention there are some cons of E66 if you read the reviews links which I'd posted on main page..

can u summarize the cons ? haha. well seriously i dont really care about the camera. all i want is a good looking phone which has above average features.

I'm afraid I cant coz the cons are actually very abstract..some may take it as a con, some may think otherwise. For example, some may hate the below average 3.2mp camera on E66, but some (including myself) felt that its performing great and dont see this as a disadvantage.

Please kindly read through the reviews and judge for yourself ya..Cheers.

Haha ..IMHO, the n85 will be kinda pricey as it adapts the OLED display and features some tech goodies in it..and it looks really similar to the n81..whereas the E66's looks is a huge jump over its previous sibling E65.

Just my 2cents

n85 is cheaper den n96 thats for sure. expected to be 450 euros before subsidy.

An early welcome to the E66 club then .

I've been looking forward to upload some sample pictures here. I think everyone who read the reviews on the net should noticed that they all commented how bad the performance of the 3.2mpix camera is ..but I'd like to prove them wrong. I believe most of the reviewed E66 sets are on older firmware version 100.07.78 (built 16-06-2008), whilst APAC sets are now equipped with firmware version 102.07.81 (built 12-07-2008). I also believed that in this new firmware version, the image processing of the camera was somehow improved or fixed .

Note that the Nokia E66 is not meant to be a camera phone, but it does impress in all aspects. Look at some of my sample pictures and do compare them to the pictures of reviewers (eg GSMArena, AllAboutSymbian, Mobile88 etc - find links on first page):
