as i far as i can see from the picture, most likely it is a software problem (rather than hardware)
a restore will sort it out just nice. |

@ff8ong
Is the other way round for windows users. Windows Quickpwn needs the phone to be upgraded/updated to fw 2.1 first. Then only Jailbreak, reakon that he is on Windows. If he has a mac, he can do as you have mentioned. |

why don't TS you re-download the FW 2.1 firmware, then perform a clean RESTORE to ensure that is either software or hardware issue.
If after CLEAN restore there isn't a problem as you showed us before, then your problem is settled. With that, means your QuickPwn process had problem I believe. Try out the Software first before you jump into conclusion saying that it is a hardware issue. Otherwise, you will make yourself good luck |

QUOTE(reason @ Oct 12 2008, 08:57 PM) if there's no official repair service for iphone.. where should i send it to if it urgently needs repair? can phone shops do it? Hi,Lets see if I can help. Base on the photo that you posted your phone was not in the DFU mode but recovery mode. I am not too sure what had happen but I would do the following if I am in your shoe. You will need read this gude http://sleepers.net/news/2008/07/25/winpwn-20-guide/ Download 2G restore file Download Winpwm 2.0.0.4 Download Boot image for 3.9 and 4.6 Downgrade your itune 8.0 to itune 7.7 The guide should be able to put your iphone back to firmware 2.01, get to here first and then we will explore how to get to FW 2.1 under Windows. I believe your problem is to get to the DFU mode, read the guide and try option 3 in the part where it teach you how to get to DFU mode. Hope this help, I have similar problem to yours. It is not hardware but software issue. jackdon |
