can anyone teach me how to introduce two hamsters which stay in different cage? how to make them stay together?

Its Winter White hamsters. I bought a younger one few months ago to accompany the old one. I've read somewhere saying that need to wait the hamster to be at least 4 months old to be accepted. And I've tried to exchange their cage recently, to get them used to each other smell. I've attempted to let them play on a open space and let them meet but really frighten they will bite each other so din really let them meet.

Yups.... chipsi mainly uses fir and spruce, but sometimes pine also termasuk coz these woods are all soft woods. On their pack, they just print soft wood. I have been smelling alot of wood shavings for the past years... and I can only trust Chipsi and Delikate coz so far the phenol smell is not as bad as other brands. All of the cheap woodshavings are not so safe for our animals. That's why some people go for corncob or the recycled newspaper bedding. My hamsters are using Healthy Pet and Breeder Celect now.... I can see their health is much better, fur grow longer, then they are easier to potty train.

I am curious about our some dailor forumer's identity 

is Nezu a nutritionist or biologist? how come u know so much about those nutrition thingy and even the ingredient of the bedding (which that i still dun understood )

hi...i'm new here.never before i have a pet.so i would like to know more bout hamster since i found them cute.better to know more before getting one.well, a animal is a living thing, so i gt to be responsible for my future pet!

is there any pet store around cheras which i can go ? i prefer a syrian hamster to be my pet. pai seh if i say anythin wrong.

For my 6 syrians + 1  FT gerbil, one pack of prestige can last me for more than 2 months or around 2 months with feeding smoothie at the same time. If you have only 1 or 2 hamsters, one pack of prestige can last you more than 2-3 months. You no need to give a lot at one time, you give 1 teaspoon or 2 teaspoons then give again after they finish everything or almost finish. No problem to leave it in the tank unless it is wet or soiled.

bought a packet of briter bunny today.. so cheap + hamster luv it.. though i think it is quite funny to give hamster , rabbit food.. haha.. put 3 pellets for each robo + 2 spoon of prestige everyday (1/4 briter bunny: 1 prestige)~ really following the recommendation which is recommended here in the forum.. ;p once in a while give them a bit white egg.. only cant use smoothie since my hostel dont have freezer to keep he smoothie fresh.. lol..

Ehh.. I tot toilet sand is for them to poo and pee.. There's a different sand for them to bath in, it's white and have lots of flavor..

non clumpin cat litter is cheaper alternative for hamster toilet.

bath sand is bath sand, no cheaper alternative.

erm....u mean the "grey colour" sand i bought is for toilet purpose eh?

I thought you're not suppose to use chin bathing sand for hamsters? Something about the sand for chins being too fine and might cause respiratory problems in hams. *shrugs*

I've never seen chin dust before because I don't think chins are available in Kuching. Hedgehogs I've seen, but not chins, gliders and ferrets.

So I just brush her down with a toothbrush. Thankfully she's a hygiene freak and doesn't stink.
