Below is the set-up.

He's around 4 weeks and pretty small in size , I'm not sure where he gone.
Most important , the zoozone is placed on a chair , thus , when he slide down , for sure he gonna hurt himself. sad.gif sad.gif
What else I can do.. , sigh!

isn't that him in the white playhouse? Or this pic taken earlier? Anyway dun have to worry about hurting himself. They can naturally take falls. Just search around the house a bit. I lost mine twice and still found her laugh.gif
*
What worries me is that the gap between the stairs it's very huge , that's why I scare it might hurts his limb.
I found him already , I'm force to grab him tightly in my hand to put him back into his cage.
Even I found him now , my mood is still so shock. sad.gif
So dissapointed, sigh. sad.gif

Zoozone2 also can escape? I think he escaped by climbing your big wodent wheel sr from the side to the top. Hamsters are very smart. Always thinking of ways to escape. A few of my syrians escaped from their 2 feet tanks. Now more cautious to prevent them from escaping.
*
I got use the hanger to hang a water bottle which I use a couple of Cable Tight to connect each other and at last only connect to the hanger.
I guess he's escaping by the water bottle though. Mind share how hamster can escape through the wheel ?
I mean it'll spin , nope ? hmm.gif

QUOTE(Aeon_Clock @ Oct 20 2008, 10:28 AM)
yea, I don't think your Muffin can escape through the wheel. Most likely its the cable. But can he fit in between the bars?

Btw, what you mean by stairs? You put him upstairs? Yea, it is quite dangerous...if he falls on his back, he'll roll down to the next step...and continuously roll down to the ground. Happens a lot with my hamster in his cage. If he falls from running too fast on the wheel and fall on his back, he'll roll further down to the ground sweat.gif
*
Did you saw my set up with the water bottle there ? blush.gif

QUOTE(sangels @ Oct 20 2008, 10:47 AM)
You'll be more shocking if you see how they can climb the wheel without the wheel spin. shocking.gif  shocking.gif  shocking.gif Your muffin is small and he is light in his body weight. he can climb from the back of the wheel by climbing the stand and balance himself on top of the wheel and get grab to the bars on the lid, then get himself out from there. The bigger the hamster is, the more difficult for them to escape as they are heavy to climb and jump. They can jump up high to shock you also. Water bottle also might be another way for him to escape. Go buy a suction cap from those hardware shop, and tie the bottle to the suction cap with cable ties, then hang it outside the ZooZone2 where the place for you to hang the bottle. Then you can have one possibility less. They also will be very smart to stop the wheel from spinning by pushing bedding underneath the wheel or push the wheel to the wall and make it less spin-able.

JackJack climbing up the Sanko wheel in 2ft tank without spinning the wheel and stand very steady on the wheel for long time. shocking.gif  shocking.gif  shocking.gif
*
The small bottle that hangs there is a temporary ones , I have bought a Living world 16oz water feeder , but he's not tall enough to drink , thus I dont think he can climb up the stand now.
Most probably should be the water feeder and cable tight.

I have placed his temporary plastic aquarium up there to prevent him out , hopefully he wont run out again.

Anyway , Do you all mind to teach me how to pump his weight and size ? sad.gif
I have been feeding him vegetables and staple food , but he doesn't seems to be chubbier. sad.gif

Notice the red water bottle holder there ? I already bought a 16oz water bottle there , but he's still too short/small to drink from there. smile.gif

You can get a suction cup and some cable ties to hold the bottle inside the zoozone2. Just stick to the side so he can reach it.
*
Any idea on how to cable tight them and where to find a suction cup ?

Anyway ,should I rear one more hamster ? hmm.gif
Feel like want to have two syrian. blush.gif

May i know what is a zoozone2?
Btw, is it recommended for me to supply vitamin drinks?
*
Zoozone 1 or 2 is a Cage/Tank that manufacture by Hagen which also creates Living World.

Get a LC-Vit from petshack and pour a little bit into the water , as easy as that.

What's the weight of 6 litres of breeder's calect? I need to compare it with the corn cob and see which is more economical to buy.
*
6L of bredder celect isn't that economy if compare with Chipsi but then , Bredder celect doesn't have much smells.
My Bredder celect whole pack gone for my Zoozone2 , imagine if I change their bedding every week , how much will it cost for 1 month ? sweat.gif

I'm not using chipsi. It was...what is that corb cob thing?

Cannot remember the brand but it comes  in three sizes, 1kg, 3 kg and 5 kg approx.

Problem with corn cob is that it's taking forever to break down in my compost, but if it's very much cheaper then I have to live with it.

Lol How many times you change in a month, Andy? I usually wait two weeks.
*
The first week I rear , I was using vitakraft bedding , after I receive my BC , for sure I wash it and change it.
Maybe I should change it once every two weeks or three. wink.gif

Chipsi 60L is only 20bucks. blush.gif

20 bucks la, but the other 20 bucks also. Unfortunately not the same measurement so donno apa beza laugh.gif

Give breeder celect a try , it's good though but economy wise , I would go for Chipsi 60L. smile.gif

plastic. easier to clean and lighter
honestly, u're having so much trouble/questions with one. better stick to one first
u serious? Ur not supposed to drown ur hamster in BC tongue.gif Dont put so much. better mix it with some other type of bedding like wood shavings to be more economical.
*
I think every owner here experience their hamster run out from their cage before and I don't see much a problem with me rearing another one.
What makes me concern is that I scare that I might spend more time with the new hamster instead , but for sure I'll still take care of them lah. biggrin.gif

I should know that earlier , aww. Whole pack of BC gone. laugh.gif
But I think it's worth though as it's dust free and it really helps to control the smell.
Do you mind share your set-up with BC and wood shavings together ? Wonder how it would look like. nod.gif

I'm not sure if it's just me or what , everytime I saw them sleeping outside of his house , I'll stand there for few seconds to check if their heart beats.
I think I still have phobia with my old hamster. sad.gif

Before I take up Muffin , I told myself that I'll take good care of him and I wont let Muffin suffer from hunger or anything. I hope I can clear off my phobia and spend more time with Muffin. nod.gif nod.gif
But the day he went out to explore is really making me nervous the whole morning and I feel so relieved after I found him. blush.gif
I hope I can pump him up chubbier and healtier so that he can take the water from the large water bottle. biggrin.gif

Nezu : Mind Pm me the price for the tank and Vege powder ? I have leaved a post there and never get pm from you yet. smile.gif

use tweezers. wait..can u put in the refridgerator? I just leave them outside
my Oreo doesnt like it also, so switching to prestige after this.
thats really expensive. I think Pet Shack is selling slightly more than that at RM1
from SS2, go to the LDP heading towards Kelana Jaya. Just follow the highway straight (towards Puchong). Before the toll, you'll see an exit on your left. Its right before the toll. Take that exit. You'll reach a traffic light, turn right and go straight. Just keep going straight and you'll past the sunway medical center on your left (i think). At the end of that road, you hv to keep left to turn left (turning right is to make a U-turn).

Then you should see Sunway Pyramid on your left. Go past it. Then keep to your left (dont go up the highway. that one leads to Subang). You can U-turn underneath the highway. Now sunway pyramid should be on your right hand side. GO straight past a petrol station. Turn left at the shoplots. Petshack is somewhere inside thos shoplots
aww so cute

Thanks for the guide , IcedNyior. Appreciated it. nod.gif
Mealworms can be put into refrigerator , they will hibernate and when they're warm back , they'll still alive. biggrin.gif

Let see if I have the time to visit petshack. flex.gif
