That's the one of the pet shop we have visited before. Near Jusco have 1-2, near MGS also got another shop. The seller who told you there's non syrians in Ipoh, he/she is lying. I bought syrians from Ipoh before and saw so many even rare colors there as well.

Remember to look for Breeder Celect by yourself, do not tell the seller you looking for hamster's bedding, or else they'll only show you wood shavings. Tell them you want something for cat to pee and poo called Breeder Celect and look out for the green colored packing.

I started by holding the water feeder and putting it right in front of them when they are playful. At first they'll think its some kind of chew-toy...but when their mouth is near the opening, I squeeze some water out bit by bit. Please take out the newspapers. The ink used in our newspapers are harmful to small animals if digested.

Just leave Muffin alone for a few days to get used to his new environments first before handling. Or else he will stress more.

He is scared means he is not tamed yet. So it will take patience to tame the lil fella. You can try hand feeding in a few days time when he has calm down in his new home.

To train Muffin how to drink from the water feeder you can add a few drops of Ribena in the water. Let him taste a bit and he will learn to drink from it soon.

You should add fresh veges to his diet now since he is still young. He can still grow bigger in size. You can try the list of food that Nezu posted.

Your muffin is still less than 1 month old or slightly a bit older than 1 month (5 weeks maybe). Still very young syrian. The wheel is a bit too small for syrian if it's for permanently. Try get a bigger one. Give him as much fresh veges as possible. Almost all kind of veges can feed except onions, garlic, citric food like lemon, orange,... you can get the list in the first page. Too bad you are in Ipoh, or else I'll strongly encourage you to buy Nutri Smoothie. I can help if I go back to Ipoh, you can notice he will grow big and healthy with fresh food. It's a MUST for fresh food, ok. Leave Muffin for few days till he is not trying to dig here and there, jumping beside the wall of the tank trying to get out. I hope he is not so scared till he scream. Do update us on Muffin. Seems your ZooZone2 is a bit too big for him...HAHAHA....

Pineapple better not as it is citric food, sourish. I only guess the age of your hamster as it looks really small and young. Even if you ask the seller, I bet they may not know also or they'll simply tell you. The fluffy hamsters you saw in pet shop is long haired syrians, male syrian will tend to have longer hair than female. I think you better get the Wodent Wheel Jr instead of Sr as Muffin is not too big. Wodent Sr if tall and they are smart to climb out of the cage with the wheel stand and all. Since you no yet order, get the Jr. Better give leaf veges as they love it so much, you can buy a packet of salad from supermarket and feed. like I said, we can give a lot as we can keep a lot of fresh food in our fridge. You can change all the bedding as the pet shop always provide pine wood shaving which is bad for them. Get everything new and let him get used to it with time.

Your picture quality are so nice. Did u edit it? Or u take photo with very good camera. I m going to buy a better camera to take photo of my Pets. The photo took from my old camera are so blur and dim >.< some more when it move, the picture will bcome blur    Can give me some advice?

After I check my baby's picture when they are still young, I noticed your Muffin is about 3 weeks old only. I look at the size of his body and the size of the wheel, then I know roughly how big is his size. So, Muffin is still less than 1 month old, you still can pump him as much as you can and make him grow. Young hamster can be tame if you spend more time to talk to him and then later on handling him. Try talk to him with the lid open, to let him get usde of your voice and smell. Then slowly try to touch him when he is more settle down, remember don't stress him now.

Andy, don't give too much sunflower seeds. It may look cute for him to eat it but other food which is healthier also can ma. Sunflower is so fattening.

I think you check your Muffin first. If the fur looks sweaty and oily means the ventilation is bad. Otherwise, it's fine lo.

Haha... Well, just a common habitrail cage with shavings, a chew toy each, bottles, wheels, 2 bowls for dry food and smoothie, toilet paper  roll, toilet with toilet sand. They used to have tubes with attachments but they hardly use it. and the attachments smell bad after just 1 week.

it clumps because of some chemicals which react with water and make it clump. so might be poisonous if they eat it.

It's normal that hamsters don't finish their food.. Don't leave the food there for a long period of time as the food will turn bad.. If they never finish their food, throw away the next morning..

If there's too many sunflower seeds in his diet, take out some.. Sunflower seeds are very fattening and can cause lots of problems later.. May I know what brand of food you are feeding now?

take out the sunflower seeds. He/she (i forgot what sex your hamster is) will be forced to eat the other foods. then later slowly put in the sunflower seeds bit by bit. Thats what I did for my Kiki. The petstore only gave it to eat kuaci. When i fed it harry hamster, it didnt eat anything else.

robos, being the smallest of dwarves, of course eat the least lo. They, like any other living being, eat the food they prefer first, so you just adjust lor. My robos could eat 1 whole piece of dark leafy greens each la.

BTW i don't recommend feeding brocolli. They will produce a lot of gas in the stomach.
