Last weekend, after I bought 22" LCD monitor, my pc suddenly can't use hardware acceleration. My MPC HC just have black screen and can't play. But when check with MPC Video Decoder filter, the DXVA mode showed "H.264 bitstreamdeocder noFGT". Usually, when this mode showed, my hardware acceleration is running, low cpu utilization. So, I try uninstall all filter (I'm using klite code), and reinstall everything. But still not work.

Finally, I change my resolution from 1680 x 1050 (native) to 1280 x 1024 . It work's blink.gif . Change back, not working. Why this happen? I'm using vista x64 sp1.

ok, ive installed cccp.
and still lagging when play 1080p files.

my spec:
AMD mobo with 780g chipset
AM2 X2 5200

do i need to install coreavc? or is there any setting that i missed?

according to the guide, i need to disable h264 in cccp settings. when i disable that, the mpc-hc cannot play mkv files.

Missing 2 step.

1. Use internal decoder, press O and go "Internal Filters"
and tick H264/AVC DXVA.

2. and for Output, All video renderer works on XP,
execpt Haali video renderer, EVR, EVR Custom Presenter.
For vista user, only EVR and EVR Custom Presenter support DXVA.

Of cource dont expect it will work for all your h264 u got it from net, coz DXVA is very picky, there is a chance DXVA will failed if the h264 videos were encoded by x264 encoder, coz u dont know what the hell the encoding setting that were used by encoders.

"MPC Video Decoder (low merit)" Does not appear, it just shows "MainConcept Adobe2 H.264/AVC Decoder" MKV's are still stuttering and skipping sad.gif

Im not sure about this, but if you want to use sub with dxva, you have to use VMR7/9(XP) renderless mode or EVR custom presenter(vista) renderer.
other renderer does not work with internal sub decoder, never tried with vsfilter.

Sadly mate, from my test no Atom or Celeron Processor can run 1080p. It even chokes sometimes on P4's.
