Whoa. Upgrade to Ultimate. Nice. Yeah, the left part is the hard disk. Can feel it spinning when touching the left palmrest.

Oic. Eh. I think previous posts got tips to enable DReamscene for Home Premium. And i was able to get DREAMSCENE for my Vista Home Premium. Thats y i no longer crave for ultimate. Now i keep switching videos for the background. hahahaha. All my friends envied my desktop now. thumbup.gif

Oh no. I've compared to ACER extended 3 years warranty, cost for only RM198 for laptop bought at RM2500 or less. and RM298 For laptops bought at RM2500 and above. shakehead.gif But i don't know how well and fast they will handle the warranty claims. whistling.gif

T_T
My battery had serious problem now.
The battery indicator keep blinking 4 times orange color and once blue color when my battery plugged in.

Just now yamcha i played my laptop with battery plugged in and i did check the battery amount it was about 80%. After that not more than an hour and my pc blacked out out of sudden! I cant turn on my lappy anymore coz the battery might be completely drained.
Now the lappy shows "charging" at the tray icon there once i inserted the battery, but it wont be charged properly and stuck at 0%.

My laptop operated with battery not even more than 20 times and i do remove the battery when my laptop operating under AC adapter.
And the warranty just ended 2 months ago(bought last year)....sad...
Any solutions?
The laptop battery is damn pricey nowadays T_T

just realis my inpiron 1520 left palm rest paint faded.
How do you guys take care of the paint on palm rest? Saw some palm rest protection sticker but I'm afraid after few months the sticker will not stick on palm rest.

Any suggestions?
*
I use silicone keyboard protector and place it on top of the lower part of the keyboard.eg:left and right palm rest including the touchpad area. biggrin.gif
The touch pad is still working through the transparent layer of the silicone. brows.gif

Yep. Last time i use cloth to cover the palmrest area.Very inconvenience if i want to use the touchpad at the same time. Bought the silicone for RM5 during PC Fair.

After i installed latest vista updates,i realized something different to my desktop.
Its seem everything especially the font is getting trimmer and smaller. My screen is WXGA, and the fonts usually a bit 'fat'. blink.gif
Has anyone experience this? rclxub.gif

oo sounds good, mind telling where can i get it? is  it the size specialy for Dell inspiron 520?
*
Most computer shop sell it.Universal keyboard protector.and it fits our 1520 nicely.Get 2 then.1 for the keyboard and the other 1 for the palmrest. You can just overlap them.it'll stick to the surface like magnet. Hehehehe biggrin.gif

I saw the power adapter for inspiron was selling for RM199 at one of the local computer shop here. OMG. I'll seriously consider upgrading the warranty plan when its going to expire.

I've been using this lappy for almost 20 hours a day before the warranty expires. Will see whether any problem arise.
But will continue to extend the warranty cos i'm still worried of the Nvidia parts problem. Warranty does include the GPU right?

You have a motherboard that can support dedicated GPU?
