umm no need cos win7 can auto detect the drivers, u might only need the card reader's driver only

Added on November 15, 2009, 6:14 pmI feel that there is alot of dust entering my lappy's speaker grille, any cq-40 owners experiencing this? Plus the cotton inside the speakers tend to come out, like hair sticking out..

Hi. I'm using a 8-month-old CQ40-309TU. It hangs a lot and I have no idea what to do to fix it. I bought it at Senheng and they did not give me the Windows Vista CD for me to reformat it. Please help. Thanks in advance.

why not send to HP service centre and enquire bout it? =)

anyway, a proud CQ20-317TU user here. bought it last May because I like the small screen and small laptop size a lot. it has served me well for 8 months until last week my battery appeared to start having problem..

emailed service support and was advised to send it to service centre to diagnose the prob..

I bet by now you can really see the difference between CQ40 and Acer 4520 in term of heat. CQ40 will be my last notebook from HP, at least for a while.

Hi all,

My friend just got a CQ35 with original Windows 7 on a nearly 500GB partition with the laptop Recovery partition in D drive.

If I repartition the C into several smaller partitions, will the Recovery function still work?

Don't want to screw up other people's laptop!

I have already made the Recovery Discs but would like to keep the on-disk version intact and functioning.

Thanks

Just curious guys, but does Compaq comes with a Windows CD or just the recovery partition?

My bro bought a CQ35, so I asked him if want I can reformat for him, so can have 2 partitions and also remove the HP add-ons.

But no Windows CD how to reformat? It does come with a Windows 7, and there's a sticker at the bottom too.

When I bought Dell it shipped with a Windows CD, albeit from DELL itself.

Any CQ35-331TX users here?

Wonder if there is any overheat issue with this model?

See, there is one forumer encountered but I am in doubts whether is his unit problem or the model

Most likely you would need to buy 2x4GB of ram if you want 8GB setup since the pre-installed is 2x2GB to save cost...
