Wow! Now im knew the simple mistakes that done by normeck. No wonder forex is so darn volatile. Just didn't put SL can wipe out all the balances. Need to bear every time in mind to remember to set SL. @Normeck Glad that you could rise back and keep continue the challenge. All the best to you in future ! Ur experience give us a valuable lesson.

USD/CAD: Short opportunity for every rebound. Tips: When touch on 100MA as it has broke it Added on October 29, 2008, 9:00 pmSeem most of XXX/JPY currency in consolidating mode. Need to find other pair that is negative correlation with XXX/JPY pairs. Better take time off and study forex books. this is the method i learn, apply the 80/20 rule
e.g if you are risking 40 pips
first 8 lot, always close at 20pips profit(include yr spread ) = 8*2 = 160 profit last 2 lot, let your profit run. = 160 + ( yr last 2 lot profit ), you can also move yr stop to +1, but i dont do that b cos this 2 lot is intended for bigger profit
even if yr last 2 lot get stop out, you still have 80 pips profit.if it goes in yr intended direction, you will profit even more
dont need to go for those big move, if you can have 4 sucessful trade, you can call it a day

oh .. i get what u mean.. but sadly the amount of lots i'm trading .. if i apply the 80/20 rule.. the remaining 20 will be 200 units only... and carry trade on that 200 units is going to be like 1-2 cents a day >< i'm not looking to close with pips.. i'm looking for long term interest earnings
Added on October 29, 2008, 10:31 pmnvm.. i'm not rdy for carry trades... volatility and me protecting capital isn't the way to go ><
Added on October 29, 2008, 10:34 pmUSD/CAD down from 1.30XX to 1.22... anybody managed to short it yesterday? =)

r326196 i was supposed to buy at bottom >< anyway it was just an experiment as i'm new to carry trading.. i've concluded that carry trading is not worth it for my kind of small account as the risk return ratio can give me a heart attack >< the spreads are high too .. Added on October 29, 2008, 10:54 pm@dreams_achiever already gave signal to sell yesterday ma >< for me i just didn't want to risk my account because i was using my margin to trade other pairs.. didn't wanna overtrade... today sad day earned +15 pips only because of up n down... earn USD1.50 >< i think thats it.. dun want to overtrade.. good luck pipping guys... no worries...actually, 15 pips is good enough for a day... it can be $1.5, $15, $150, $1500....you get the point IMO, it's always best to learn how to earn pips first, rather than looking at $$$ just my $0.02

hahah small-jeff. I'm not looking at money actually.. because for now the money i have in the account is so called my tuition fees.. of course i prefer it to grow.. i'm more into the total amount of pips rather then the money because if i can earn the pips.. next time when i trade bigger lots (when i have money la ) i can earn more
