i've mention it earlier.

1st, sometime cannot boot, i hav 2 replug the GC only can boot.
2nd, playing NFS half way got artifact......................(just only upgrade my new car........haiz....)
3rd, after artifact, screen no display, can c lots on line only, but the game is still running, i can still hear the engine sound wen i accelerate.
4th, restart but cannot boot.............

shu.............
there r distro lurking in here............
hopefully get a replacement.

either u call & ask the shop u bought from,
or, some company, like SDS, has warranty sticker on the bck of the card.

from the very beginning, i nvr mention dat ur facts or idea is wrong, i respect dat.
i just trying 2 point out another point from the beginning.

tell dem u prefer 2 RMA urself lo.
the shop will b happier as less work 4 dem................i'm sure dey will tell.

i also actually dunno @ the beginning.
i PM ScanArt, he told me there is 2 gigabyte GC distro, ScanArt & SDS.
dey will not accept the RMA if dey find out the GC is not theirs.
but i wen i look @ the bck of the card, there is a SDS stickers, b4 dat i thought it was shop warranty sticker.............

may b 3850(256MB) CF can beat 4850 in some very games wit AA & AF off.
but most of the time, single GPU always better.

multi GPU setup only works well on those optimized games, & there is not many of dem.

wit no optimization, it often end up slower den single, same GPU.

hav 2 google for it, like info from review.

not all new games is optimized for multi GPU.
also, not all games is optimized for both SLI & Crossfire, might b 1 of it only.

SLI support is more common den crossfire.................

my 4870 idle @ ~38 & load @ ~45....................
but still blackout.........

i read a review on 4870 TOP b4.
it actually uses slight lower power even though it is OC version.
also slightly lower noise & lower heat................

i think the best think of 4870 TOP is the bios, which u can dl free on9...........

but the new nvidia driver, even gtx260 192 smokes 4870 1gb on those 5 selected games.

well, nvidia always sacrifice IQ for performance....................can't ague bout dat.

even @ dis temperature, its fine.
coz it is design 2 run @ these temperature, just dun touch it wen its running.

ati tray tools.
it dun actually calculate, just show the fps in detail.
