Most aftermarket GC HSF takes up the other slot... So better confirm it before buying

QUOTE(LeechFever @ Nov 2 2008, 04:33 PM) I mean by the time the fan wears out it will be like 5 years already. By then would be a good time to get another one. Depends on the bios. Gainward for example runs at minimum of 50% fan speed for the Golden Sample. Asus probably left the default min speed at 6% which is the same as reference cards. |

Palit 4850 Sonic's heatsink is exactly the same as 4850GS. Just that the cover design is different.
But at stock 700/1100, yes there will be no difference at all in the performance. |

QUOTE(blindbox @ Nov 6 2008, 11:38 PM) Gainward's version of Revolution R700(that really big 3 slot cooler R700 card). I prefer Gainward's! Looks wayyyy cooler man! With those shades, looks more fierce.http://en.expreview.com/2008/11/05/gainwar....html#more-1224 I really wish Palit's Revolution R700 reaches malaysian shores instead of gainward's. Gainward's looks horrible, bad paintjob. This post has been edited by celciuz: Nov 6 2008, 11:59 PM |

That Palit and Gainward is most probably the same spec. Same core speed same memory and probably the same PCB as well. So, only difference here is price, brand and finally the color

QUOTE(seanlimys @ Nov 17 2008, 11:55 PM) r u running vista?if yes, i faced the same prob as u...laggy gaming in vista wif 2gb ram..but switch to xp..super smooth Partially affected by the available space on the 2GB system, but then again another caused might be DX9 versus DX10. DX9 is relatively faster compared to DX10. My computer running on Vista on DX9 for Crysis gives much better performance. |

The next undercover patch will feature "the way game is meant to be played". Then you'll notice the 4800 series getting owned ._.

Cause the green shiny logo of Nvidia appears in most of the games. Thus, giving those who doesn't research a lot on which card more worth for the money.
