Uh...i use gpu-z the sensors tab, they indicate that its constant 250 all the way. I tried fallout 3, and RA3 also the same. I also tried atitraytools' monitor graphs and they indicate the same thing also, i tried to overclock also cannot, each time i set a value it jumps back to default. Even if i set the game to very very high(1280x800, Max aa, af etc), it still stays at 250. If i on powerplay, when not gaming its around 55mhz, 125mhz etc etc, but never to 500 or even pass 250.

im having the same issue i think.. these figure is when i played PES 09 on highes res highest setting and gettig around 60fps.. no lag during game.. btw, does these figures affect anything? can anyone post the screenshot when the figures at 500mhz..

could you kindly check yours too? because mine also maxed at 250Mhz.

Anyone else notice that it is very hot? Even when I'm just using it at minimal usage such as watching a movie, only surfing+msn.

When I play games like warcraft 3. You won't believe how hot the left side of the rear gets. Does it only happen to my particular laptop or is it only the AMD, or what??

Exactly, i dont think driver will affect it too. So why is mine and a few others showing only 250Mhz? Do u think u can post some benchie on some games u play? just the fps and settings only will do if thats okay... So i can compare, so maybe its just the monitoring software bugs and not the hardware.
Sorry for being paranoid and all...my 1st lappy and i do alot of light gaming, it will suck alot if the fps im getting is supposedly to be higher.

hi everyone... i got problem with my cq40 lah... suddenly hor, the dvd-rom wont detect ler... i cant really remember installing any dvd-rom driver all this while even with my other laptop... anybody have any idea ?

when the laptop overheat, it will restart itself. It happens to my v3000. maybe you can send for checking? I'm using infinite and a DIY fan. I put it near the fan there and it did cool the laptop well.

medieval total war II smoothly at normal setting.
So, what does this laptop lack?
From the specifications, its seem that 133AX is more powerful than my desktop.

i've been running my CQ40-125ax with Windows 7 for more than a month... really impress with the OS compared to Vista... but sadly, the in-built microphone cannot be used....

i've checked, my 401AX has 3gb [1+2gb] DDR2 800 but only running at 667, how to set to runs at ddr2 800???

hmm ............. I'm start to know the problem maybe is the temperature problem ..

for example when I startup my computer nor Vista or Win7 the starting temperature was gone to 70 Celsius...!

afterwards whenever games I running, it automatically rise until 95~110 Celsius and cause the game lags for almost a few minutes ....

I tried on Red Alert 3 and CS both lags for 3 minute for every 5 minute =.= and DotA,Maple, RO lags about 1 minute for every 5 minute or more .....

I really cannot figure it out if 100 celsius I touch my laptop is almost insane but it felt warmer when I touch on the laptop surface and the fans .....

Likewise after a many of scanning there comes no problem .... now the only way I can do is to get it back for checking to the HP Tower but will they accept for repair in such type of weird problem =_=

also this problem do comes since I was gotta repair my laptop back at march .....

anyone know to solve "Base System Device" from Device manager ? what's driver can be use for it?
