Personally I would open it up and wash the PCB in distilled water and dry it out. My 8800 got soaked in rain last time, I left it to dry and it worked fine for 2 days then died due to PCB corrosion.

Thirsty Hippo cannot help? Hair dryer only works if u opened ur iphone or else, it can be worst if blown from outside (Damp will developed inside). Uncooked rice is prooven from google's testimonials... Lets cross fingers for this beauty to revive...

Faster way by using hammer.... The normal way is get yourself a set of opening tools(so happen I am selling) and google online on howto.
