@TS,
You've already switched on the phone ? If you have, then just leave it for now. Wait for at least 2 days then try turning it back on. The wait depends on how much water that has enter the phone. If it's not that wet then a day would be sufficient. Live Vor said, try using hair dryer for better result. Good luck TS. |

Added on September 8, 2008, 3:27 pm QUOTE(Vor @ Sep 8 2008, 01:08 PM) yes, agreed. using a hair dryer might be beneficial provided TS did not attempt to switch it back on immediately.reminds me of a bloke whom i helped previously. he sprayed a little too generous amount of the invisibleshield solution and couldn't start up thereafter. but i advised him to leave it at a corner for at least 24 hours and viola, it turned fine! Added on September 8, 2008, 3:31 pm@ j3ff345 kindly provide some information about the origin of your iphone 3G. because if there is no way that you could even attempt to repair it, the best thing that i can advice you is to dismantle the entire unit completely and let it dry. you will be surprised at how resilient electronic parts can be sometimes. i know because i have gone through worse. sorry to hear about the phone. I have heard rumors that if u bury the phone into a bowl of rice it would help get the moisture out of the phone. Seems that quite a few people have tried it and the so called drowned phone came back to life after spending a day or two in a bowl of uncooked rice.
oh yeah here is the link to it, not sure if it really works but u can give it a try. http://www.yinsiyat.com/2008/04/how-to-saf...t=1219418520000 This post has been edited by duxz: Sep 8 2008, 03:47 PM |
