bro's i need help with my set up.
I'm using a panasonic amp that has dts, dolby digital and all that. I have two optical inputs. 1 input i'm using for dvd, the other one for ps3.

problem is, with blue ray discs i don't really get dts because they only have that true hd sound and the other setting. that's ok la. because my amp is old.

but for games that support dts, it doesn't show up in my amp as well. usually it will light up the dts led. but for games, it just shows left and right surround. so not true 5.1.

i tried adjusting the settings in the audio set up but cannot change anything at all... how?

on ur ps3, set the audio to be bitstream over optical.

I always find the blu-ray.com's reviews are a bit biased.

Warner has pushed back the (originally planned November 4th) release date for the Blu-ray Disc of “The Shawshank Redemption” Directed by Frank Darabont (supposedly a big fan of the format) to December 2nd. The title will receive “DigiBook” and BD-50 treatment. The video will be in the VC-1 codec and audio in Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround.

well i dunno if they will release the japanese cut of bunuh bill stateside...or maybe they will release it in japan only, so considered import version la..

the original intent of coming out with japanese cut was to cater to japanese viewers anyway.

yes of curz. the japs are crazy over killbill. but not sure when. i just bought the amazon US version. am planning to sell it once the jap / or TWBA comes out.. cant resist the hype~ haha

Just watched The Eye last night, PQ was good AQ was good also but without the AQ i think its not so scary la... the chinese version is scarier think due to the culture in the east and west that are a bit different.

Further more got this digital copy in the BD... A DVD i suppose will try to transfer it to my laptop and see how later
