Which area you live in if near my place i can bring my PA HDMI for you to test

Cheapo HDMI cable should work fine, it's carrying digital signal. The issue here, Jep's cable might be defective already, maybe because of low build quality and/or wear and tear as it's used, not new. That's the only reason to get branded digital cables, build/material quality.

For analogue cables, in the other hand, a good cable can improve picture and sound quality.

I'm staying near the JJ Cheras Selatan in Balakong, near bro mpyw...that's why i'm trying to 'pancing' him to lend me his extra HDMI cable...hehehe

I live like 1 min from JJ. Howdy neighbor.
