TS, Socket 478 has MANY type. 1 is mPGA 478 (for desktop) , Another is Micro-fcPGA (mfPGA) which is mobile processor (Start from Pentium 4m, Pentium M, Celeron M, to Core Duo). Also have another 478pin named "Socket P" which is support "Core 2 Duo" processor from codename "merom" till the latest "penryn".

Micro-FCPGA clarifies that the socket uses a "Flip-Chip Pin Grid Array". All Socket P's are Micro-FCPGA but not all Micro-FCPGA sockets are Socket P. Why i know? Cos i "google" it, thats easy..... and the seller also provide the "sSpec Number (eg:SL9YL) " for you. You can search this number among google or yahoo until Intel's website, it still show you that's Micro-fcPGA 478pin. Seller did state that this is "Micro-fcPGA" processor at start. If you search "SL9YL" on the website, you will find out that this is Intel XEON Processor with 2.33Ghz\1333Mhz\8MB but IT WAS USING LGA771 SOCKET, NOT LGA775. Some XEON did use LGA 775, so that's why Intel provide "sSpec Number" for you all to VERIFY YOUR MAINBOARD's SOCKET or SUPPORT BEFORE EARN YOUR POCKET MONEY.....

Very simple i said. I want to sell my Proton Wira 1.5GL, then you view my car and start my engine + trying on the street, after testing you are satisfield and you pay me 10k as downpayment then we deal, the rest will wait for the bank approve. After 2 days you come to my house and asking for deposit refund with RUDE, keep saying LOUD that i have cheat'ed you that my Wira WAS NOT FUEL INJECTION, i have told you earlier that my Wira is 1.5GL, not 1.5GLi, you even not open my bonet to view my engine and you already paid me the deposit straight away. You even said that you is PRO and have knowledge about 15 YEARS but GL & GLi you also donno....... Should i refund to you then?
My Consolution: After seller have been put all "sales descriptions" with full detail, buyer have to "100% sure thats the items is suitable for his replacement" After money paid mean both of seller and buyer know agree this deal, and buyer should know what he\she buying, not seller .

I understand, i just give him an example about the buyer should "study" before blaming seller thats ppl provide wrong infomations, right? The buyer still want to blame seller which provide the right infomations for him. Processor also have it own spec, even the socket and speed is same, but the technology isn't same at all, just like car, Wira 1.5 also have many spec.

Ok Seller, it's me again . If i were you, i stricky not refund it due the act of the buyer is really selfish i can say. Always put your leg on the other ppl's shoes, don't always want to protect your self too much, how 'bout you become a seller and you facing this kind of buyer? IF you want ppl respect you, you should respect ppl too! I can said this is clearly your fault coz you claim as yourself has 15 years exp. before. If you really has 15 years exp. how come you donno some processor has 2 type of socket even the processor was same? Just like the Pentium II & III , has "Slot 1" or "Socket 370" in same Mhz, same Spec.

Why you still don wan admit it it's your fault coz you see the "478pin" and assume it can totaly fit on your notebook at start? Now you blame the seller, useless i can say. Plus your fxxking attidude and sxxking word attack seller, if you have 15 years of IT knowledge now, i personaly suggest you should take another 15 years for studying MORAL. You now maybe donno how the seller feeling in this case , come come come , i give you another example .......

You : Hello, I think i have a mistake here regarding the processor you sell to me, i thought it same as my client notebook which also socket 478 but it was not. It's "S479" instant of "S478", can i have any solutions from you?

Seller: What the hell you talking now? It's your fault ! I cleary state at my post it's mfPGA 478! You blind kar? Which eye see i type Socket 478? You say you have 15 Years Exp you should expert than me!

You : Ya, i know i make a mistake , but i just know it now that the Socket 478 have few type, sorry to said your processor really cannot fit on my client notebook, i need to buy another compatable processor for it. Can i change to another processor from you or other best solutions from you?

Seller : Hell no! This is not my fault ! Item already sold is not refund! Thats all! This is your fault! I won't exchange with you and whatsover !

So..... did you know the feeling now? If i were you, i will choose a better way to settle this case, like you send back the processor to seller and take back 80% of the refund to recover seller's time and patrol money etc. I think seller is no way to reject as you already admit your fault at start . But , not now i can say .
