blush.gif If you look at it logically, the pet shop like Pet Safari wants to sell their joeys quickly. Why? Cuz they have joeys dying everyday and losing money. They take super underaged joeys so of course will have high fatality rate. Those that do survive are getting into the proper age where they will be crabby and not sociable and trusting because they're not handled unless some customers want to see it.

So in order to sell they will often tell you wrong information to make you feel it is really easy to take care of so you will buy it.

smile.gif Anyway, since your joey is underaged, so you should get a milk replacement. Normal milk for humans cannot be given to gliders because gliders are lactose intolerant. Go get puppy milk or Pets Own Milk. It can be found in Pet Shack. hmm.gif I'm guessing that your joey should be 4 weeks - 6 weeks OOP. That's usually the age they have in the pet shops, although more often 4 weeks OOP than 6 weeks. A joey drinks milk until end of 7 weeks OOP and officially start taking solids well by 8 weeks OOP.

And they need a variety of different fruits. A different fruit has different nutritional values so feeding a variety is good for your joey.

Ah, and insects is a definite must in their diet. Insects like mealworms and crickets are a good protein source which gliders need everyday. Nothing can replace insects in their diet (permanently) since suggies eat insects in the wild.

happy.gif It's a little late but welcome to our thread. Feel free to ask questions. The members here will try their best to answer your questions. So welcome to our community.

Hi there,

You know you shouldn't just feed apples right?

There are plenty of edible fruits for suggies out there to explore. We even have a list of them in the 1st page for reference. Try it out!

Yes, we can feed our suggies with egg white for protein. Boiled them with plain water and no salt, peel off the skin and mash them to bits before feeding.

However, some suggies will eat it and some will not.

If you are feeding the mix, it already contains egg smile.gif

Other protein source would be mealworms, crickets and boiled chicken meat.

Ooo, good idea! icon_idea.gif

Those has been good suggies will get bigger green packets : Super Worm inside!

Wahaha laugh.gif

Ohh, speaking of which, I have just started giving my monster "Super Worms" yesterday rclxms.gif

Always wanted to buy them, but the pre-packed one is too expensive and not worth buying cuz some of them might have died and left few only in the container... Then I heard that you can actually find them none packed just like mealworms, but not many places do this lor... Until I had a gut feeling to try that weird, remote fish shop near my place. And wah lah! They got it! Straight away buy lor smile.gif

Back home, gutload and was fascinated at how huge they were!

It was an instant hit with my suggies last nite! Finally, they seem to take longer time finishing it rather than those small mealworms rclxms.gif

I saw Molly struggling with it a bit cuz it's huge, but the rest were okay smile.gif

Gave only 2 Super Worms each. Very happy!

Nope, that's fuzzy, not fluffy yet.

Looks very small, but not so underaged or bad condition.

Eating well?
