Oh, cause I'm considering keeping one. But not this year. So want to get to know more first.

Cause there's one guy who is selling cheap (he got roughly 20+ of them), looks healthy, not underage, just trying to escape the shop owner. Makes a considerably loud sound when owner took it out from cage.. The source is from Thai, but wild caught or not, no idea.

So if I have no background information about the glider's origin, age (only by estimation as described in guide), or diet.. I should look for signs of behavior when handling? Running away is a signs of a possibly wild caught glider?

wow... all white... albino izit..???
hmm... kinda wierd 4me...hehe... im mor interested of white tip tail... but alrdy pass away...

Leucistic. Or some in other pet term, Black Eyed White(BEW)

Albino is always with red eyes.

QUOTE(JonYeap @ Sep 18 2008, 03:00 PM)
its very very rare.
i wonder anyone in malaysia has it or not
*

Yes, very rare.

We don't have them in Malaysia.

QUOTE(jcmf @ Sep 18 2008, 03:12 PM)
if breed with normal, can get het leucistic and some white tip(i guess)
*

Can get het, 50%-50% but not white tip, it's a different line.

Leucistic and Hets are super expensive because of the controlled breeding. They don't simply mix breed between Leu and normal. Even if they have a customer, an agreement will be drawn about breeding them. Simply breeding these precious types is a No-No to them.

QUOTE(Gr3eN @ Sep 18 2008, 06:14 PM)
I dun think buy 2 gliders will affect the bonding wo..
From my exp n own opinion...If buy 2 den their stress will reduce as they gt fren mah.
For me, bond wif 1 or 2 is juz same coz also need time n patience lo.
I oso bond wif a pair when i 1st keep glider...The bonding period is almost same wif my sister(she juz keep one female).
Beside that, gt ppl said wild glider cant be bond bt hw cum my 2nd pair(wild) can bond wif me? They are very tame now...as tame as the captive breed. What i can say is>>'sometime u cant learn frm wat u c n hear...u will onli know it after u had tried it and gain exp.'
*

Yes, bonding with 1 or 2 gliders actually can work as well.

It all depends on how the owner bonds with them, the technique and ofcourse the patience.

I am more concern about whether the 2 are related if they are male and female. As we know keeping unneutered siblings can cause inbreed.

Some shops will claim they are not siblings, but the truth is by far to their own knowledge because it's from a breeder not their own.

So do consider on this matter as well.

Er... Guys, confirm sharing kibbles with me is
1. muchan
2. DeRossi
3. mattemily_85

That's all right?

Just to let you all know. The smallest pack is 3kg... sweat.gif

What kibbles are you guys getting?

-----

Dear Sharil,

I've personally met you and spoken to you few times and honestly do not expect this kind of attitude from you.

I know sometimes you meant well, so does others here.

We are seriously trying to curb all this pet shop promo thing around here. It's starting to look like an advertising forum than a glider forum.

I personally carry/sell stuff, but have I ever done any promo here? Or have I ever had anyone helping me promo here?

If you really do not want people to get annoyed or annoy you back, just let it be, no need to reply with "bla, bla, bla" or what so ever. In a while everything will be go on as usual.

Please try and understand my point, don't make it worst.

Refer to my replies in bold...

QUOTE(empty_reg @ Sep 19 2008, 09:05 AM)
Ermm.. Want to ask, the white SG.. Does it need any other special treatments compare to those we have here?

Nope, should be same treatment, except for the cleanliness part I guess smile.gif

I'm new to SG, how do we tell that the SGs are tame (other than biting)? I saw one that make the 'nget nget nget' sound when handled and trying to run away. Is this common?

The "nget-nget" sound you heard is probably "crabbing". That's the most common sound you will hear from a new SG. It's their defense sound.

A tame glider will not bite as pleased. Will run back to you if felt threaten and will be affectionate towards you/people/

Some are below 200 ringgit, some as high as 300+ ringgit. Are they the same? Read guide from first page. But I can't see any health and underage issues. If is the same, what are aspects can I look into before deciding is good or not?

Cheaper always comes with other hidden prices such as not tame, adult, health prob, etc.

Some expensive ones are also due to business terms such as a big per shop price.

What's best is to always do a proper research, comparison and if possible, get from a homebreeder who knows the history of your future per.

That would be Wild Caught my dear. That would take a hell of a time to tame... Not advisable for newbies.

So if I have no background information about the glider's origin, age (only by estimation as described in guide), or diet.. I should look for signs of behavior when handling? Running away is a signs of a possibly wild caught glider?

Running away, crabbing, trying to attack you, biting, color staining... All those could refer to WC.

It's just best not to get a WC. You will end up feeling frustrated rather than enjoying their company if you are not patient enough.

Yap, any product, good or bad, only the consumers know it. You find one good, use it. Like you say, what's the point say one good just because you supporting the shop and it is selling there, then say another one bad because it is sold else where? It is a free market, consumers make the choice.

Pee alot means take alot of water. That's ok. As long she doesn't hiss while peeing is fine.

Eating alot, which I would say is a good sign. Some joeys won't eat much. Some would starve than to eat if they were separated too early from their parents. Try giving her different types of fruits ok? Are you using any glider supplement?
*
why?,,if hissing and peeing got problem ah?..what kinda problem....

gave supplement.......glider mix, but i think i'm gonna change it soon as its gonna expired next 2 weeks....damn...
