is plasma tv good for playing games? etc ps3.. oppinion??

bro.. the philips 47' is more expensive la.. rm10k+++ im waiting for samsung series7,8,9 to arrive malaysia and this series6 will drop hell lot in prices

i've actually search all around some of the uk's websites grading about HDTVs.. i did not see any LG model being introduced to people. wonders..

sorry to say.. i've read so many reviews over the net. 100hz/120hz doesnt solve the blurring issue of a lcd. most of them said the 120hz at max will create some kind of artifacts and like 'force to move' faster.. they better find some else which is better to replace the motion thingy

Added on October 8, 2008, 9:26 amlets take plasma/lcd both 50inch/52inch which sizes of these two are closer and compare their wattage.

panny plasma py800 555wt (with eco friendly, lead free)
samsu lcd 650 300wt (not eco friendly)

do u know lcd backlight is always on even in darker scenes? if u r using for 5 hours all the way 300wt. while plasma doesnt use backlight, when the scene is bright maybe up to 555wt but when there are darker scene it maybe can drop to 350-400wt which doesnt reli have too much diff from lcd's. with plasma's superb technology FULLHD had reach their limits and couldnt be upgraded too much which mean we dont have to change to a latest one. it has everything in it which the PQ and motion are more important to us. but lcd is always upgrading its FULLHD tvs. non-stop with its dynamic contrast, motion blur, what what design, add this and add that which we malaysian doesnt have those HD decoder to plug into those slots to use them. ok maybe malaysia will have HD programs in future.. but how long is that future? even those RTM also never improved!! lolz.. today u buy 50000 contrast and 120hz.. few months later got new 70000 contrast and 150hz. how many tvs do u have to change? we must admit.. plasmas are still better for us in malaysia. and remember our broadcast technology upgrade very very slowly

=.= i told u already they are doing what FULLHD has to offer till its limit. lcd is only half way to FULLHD although they are really FULLHD now but wif the technology its so far behind plasma. plasmas are lcd's future meaning lcd is gonna become like plasma but they will still remain being named lcd

waiting for prototype plasma,oled,laser tvs!! dun wan to buy thick thick tv. next year or 2010 panny will start to sell their 24.7mm plasma tv. wuhuuu

you can go onto youtube and search for 'laser tv'. the developer themself said its alot cheaper to make a laser tv than plasma/lcd and the price would be 50% of a plasma/lcd. OLED tv is also another type which will replace lcd but they use printed organic. as you know organic are very fresh material and has never been added any additives so may cause those organic to rot and very sensitive towards water. imagine u place them in the airconditioned room =)

personally prefer plasma py800 as its rated to have highly accurate color, less than 0.1ms which is very important for gaming smoothness and of coz plasma is always better for movies. the series6 was also rated quite high over the cnet but doesnt have blacker black than py800 and its 100hz appeared to be unnatural, it's screen is also not reflective compared to plasma but lol.. who wants to play/watch fullHD games/movies in a bright environment? have a look at them at your local store to have better decision on your own.. good luck

panasonic original sure match 9 9 with its tvs one and yet their warranty comes 2gether under one company which will be easier to claim if anything happen. touchhhhhhhh wooooooooodddddddd choi choi choi

yes u can stand further away from the tvs in those shops. go audition those tv at wider shops so u can stand further and if those small shops have better price u can get your tv there

doink doink doink.. no point asking ppl you wouldnt have the image of what things are like or how good this and that from your mind. plzzzzz bring along your ps3 and your files to those shop that can let u test it on their tv and u will get everything right FOR YOU!!

really crapssss!! on asia.cnet and cnet itself this model has different review. asia.cnet did not said it introduce flicker in the review but then i saw on the page of tips&tricks i saw them advice to off the 24p on ps3 to prevent from py800 flicker. so confusing. cnet said py850 has inaccurate primary color but then asia.cnet did not said so. soooooo confusing!! btw i had sent my questions to them and waiting for their reply..
