kaskus and tokobagus ? the seller is separate individual. if you want to buy from them, you must make appointment with them in one place (your hotel maybe). then you wait them come to you. this process can took a whole day.

wow 10 days. usually tourist go to bandung in 3 - 5 days.

well, you can arrange meet with the seller. but not in your hotel. arrange in a public place like mall food court. bring friend with you. let the seller come to you. if you happy with the item and price, pay there, take the item there. do not come to their place for any reason.

thanks again for these info. I've listen from a friend of mine saying the Indonesian also accept foreign notes like USD & SGD. but not sure if they can accept Malaysian RM.

your friend refer to big shop or tourist related shop. since there is a large number of malaysian tourist here, some of them also accept ringgit.

however, you dealing with personal seller. maybe they can accept ringgit, but the rate may not make you happy.

second, you may buy something for 5 rm. you have 10 rm bank note. what do you expect they return to you ? 5 rm ? of course not.

so, it is better to use rupiah here. also, you stay here for 10 days right ? you can use your rupiah for next day.

just come back from bandung. bandung is really a heaven for shoppping.
the place i went:
rumah mode (my most favorite), factory outlet in jalan riau, jalan dago
terminal tas- lots of branded bag and shoes, cheap,  looks very nice
spatu sportmax: the sport shoes is super cheap . got nike, adidas, reebok, fila, etc
toko tigo : shop for jeans especially levis
cibadayut: shop for super cheap original leather made shoes, bag, wallet, jacket, etc.. super super cheap
kawah putih - the lake look very beautiful, but can not stand the sulfur smell. the tangkuban perahu cannot go , coz the volcano now is active
my favorite food : strawberry juice, avocado juice, batagor, otak otak( look same as malaysia one,)

renata homestay good enough you occupy there, and for the sim card you can use telkomsel Simpati, and if you already have a tour guide, you can better arrange ask.
