muahahaha my another red pk spawning now, roughly about 300 egg n still counting

sigh alot of dead fry in the spawn left under 100 fry... should had prepare infusoria before spawning .. liquidfy not really an option.

liquidfry is made from ermmm egg derivatives... it's food for infusoria

as for mine i think i screw up the water parameters, ignoring unker wong advice and change the damn grown out tank water every 3 days... now my spawn left 1 or 2 fry in the tank.. most likely wont survive also.. on the other hand my 2nd pair of red spawn again with hundreds of fry dangling on the nest hahahha and this time i'm prepared....

how big is your tank ? if it's 3ft or 2ft i think you need not to change the water until they were about 1 inch in size

ermm my red spawn ..

1.put in the breeding pair on a 40cm X 25cm plastic tupperware filled with 10cm of water, add 1-2 drop of nika general aid to prevent fungus attack and ketapang.
2.leave them in the bowl for 1-2 day for the male to prep it's nest. (jar the female with chimney made from 100plus bottle)
3. once you see the nest is ready, then release the female around 8pm
4. they start to dance then embrace within the next 10 min and last about 3-4 hours until the female eggs supply depleted then take out the female
5. wait for about 36 hour.

*my red only will spawn around 8pm.. i did tried releasing them during day time but no success.

very aggressive fish you had there lol, perhaps they get high when seeing blue it might be flaring due to it's own reflection
on the bubbling part.. most likely they need 1 or 2 day to settle down since fresh water been introduced.

midvalley and ikano got those sera premixed BBS, 15g goin for rm 5.20 in case you need them badly.
fyi 1/3 tea spoon is more then enuff to feed over 100+ fries.
