for all you guys using nod32 and not updating, don't worry.

I think it will update on restarts and such.

Although if you check the website it might say you're 1-2 updates behind, somehow you will get updated more slowly.

My guess is your 'ahem' software is linked to the slowest servers.

I am using the original version but it doesn't update. sad.gif

yoo.. everybody...

asking u guys some opinion...

hmmz... i think i am going to format my comp
so i need a nice anti spyware + anti virus software for my comp.. any suggestion?

i heard alot of ppl toking about NOD32, BitDefender, Norton, Pc-cilin, Panda...

which one is the best?...
i tried most of them..

let say NOD32, in this thread previously i said tat this is great bla bla bla..
but few weeks back... i kena a spyware.... then scan it kill it with spyware doctor... after tat i kena virus(right after kill the spyware). disabled all my admin access...
so i format it dy.... (this meant... NOD32 cannot kill the virus nor the spyware.. wondering how NOD32 work.. )

i lost my confidence to NOD32.. but of cuz.. if u wan to suggest me this s/w.. pls show me some example...  like wat case u faced before...
p/s: the only AV s/w in my mind now is kaspersky.. do this kaspersky anti spyware too?.. can i trust the antispyware function tat come with kaspersky? or other anti spyware s/w work better?..
*
I would suggest you go to get Kav6 and spypot search & destroy. As far as I know, most of the avs are not good in detecting spyware, so I recommend you to get another spyware remover. smile.gif

Hehe, actually ALL antiviruses sucked when it comes to kernel resource usage unless they are written & fit into a OS core level. NOD32 is no exception (massive nonpaged pool usage rclxub.gif) but because of that it is fast & responsive. I'm using it myself so no complains tongue.gif
of course it is advisable not to use NOD32 when running in critical server enviroment.

Not recommended to newbie too. biggrin.gif

Hey just a question if AVG scan and found virus on it will it delete it ? Or it will just leave it right there ?
*
Yes, it can detect and delete. This is the purpose of an anti-virus suite. However, there are some viruses wihch are undetactable and so unable to be deleted.

Yeah, NOD32, I like it so much. I suggest those who use NOD32 turn off the startup screen. I think it can boost up the speed a little.
