Currently listening to Gojira and Cavalera Conspiracy.
Aside from Gojira, Gorguts and the mighty Meshuggah, can anyone here recommend some good math metal? |

QUOTE(kInOzAwA @ Apr 30 2010, 01:30 AM) different ideology.. some claimed that they're true sXe.. hahahaha.. crap... it's crap whatever they said. Now where these guys? I don't see any muslim sXe around except a new comer.. But in reality, seem like nobody is the real sXe... And what's surprised me more that a d-beat/fastcore/crusty follower nowadays claims that they're anti-metal.. hahahaha what a crap more anyway... Most of the time they're bashing Black metal in their fanzine. These crap-head who already known to survive in a free-for-all.. making some bullshit minded, they're still talking about the anti-capitalist, bla bla bla... Philosophically, sXe is for a betterment of oneself. Avoiding drugs, alcohol, ciggies and promiscuous sex and all is good for your health and the community. To an extent, I practice that too until now. But once the elements of 'holier that thou' sets in, that is where the 'different ideology' start to rear its ugly head... I enjoyed very much bands during that era like Disaster Funhouse, Projekt A.K., Another Side, N.E.T. and of course Chronic Mass.remember about that? Wonder what happened to Mai (Out Of Step zine). Last time I heard he started a blog named something like 'Sehari Di Neraka' or something... QUOTE(vorchiel @ Apr 30 2010, 03:08 AM) brb programming some games coz im not a true gamer if i only play it without being involved in the game creation process It's not like that. Nowadays, to have an album (or entire discography) of your favourite band is just a few computer clicks away and the waiting time is probably less than 2 hours. If you're not sure, you could always check the Youtube for a glimpse of what would the band sounds like and googled up details with regards to that particular band. If you like what you're listening, just proceed with the preceding step I mentioned just now.Back in the days, or at least in 88 (when I start listening to metal by purchasing Maiden's Killers album), you don't have the facilities enjoyed by new generation of metal fans nowadays. You need to really put an effort to get the tape of your favourite band by going to the nearest music store. Depending on where you live, time taken to get your favourite band's album would take from an hour to few hours. In my case, the towkey will allow you to take an extra tape for you to 'test' a.k.a. the Youtube thingie we now enjoyed That is what the 'veterans' issue against the new generation. They think that the new generation haven't put enough effort in supporting the music that we all love. For a successful mainstream band, downloading and streaming is OK. But what happened to the underground/independent bands? They practically bled and sweat for the community but what are they getting? One would argue that the illegal downloading and unauthorized streaming over the net will expand the band's fanbase but without monetary support, the band would eventually becomes discouraged. It will eventually destroy the community. Slowly but surely. I had a long discussion on this matter with Campbell Music towkey a.k.a. Auntie. The business is experiencing a meltdown as we speak and she and all music store owners are seeing a bleak future up ahead. People are downloading music indiscriminately and if this thing continue, there'll be no recording artist except for rich fools who share their masterpiece for free... |

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ May 12 2010, 08:32 PM) yeah, i know that (very expensive) but i still buy because Kedai Auntie did not open yet at that time (10:30 a.m) and because i can't contain myself. Tough luck. Kedai Auntie will only be open at 3.00pm onwards or whatever time that is convenient to the owners.Surely next time that shop will be my last resort. Megadeth Remixed & Remastered 2004 only sell at price RM49.90 at Rock Corner everywhere in Malaysia but the shop put a price tag of RM78 - RM88. What make them slap that expensive price? ___________________________________________________________________________________ and how about Kedai Auntie? Is the price cheaper and reasonable? And if you're lucky, their daughter will come together with them but only on a certain day of the week. I'm not going to disclose which day p/s - Everybody want to go to Kedai Auntie all of a sudden at a mere mention of hot chick aye? |

QUOTE(aburamen @ Nov 2 2010, 12:23 PM) Well, I'm collecting stuff by Carcass right now. So far I got Symphonies of Sickness, Necroticism: Descanting The Insalubrious, and Heartwork. I really love Ken Owen's drumming. Got all their CD (studio albums) except Reek of Putrefaction. Downloading their stuff is a blasphemy! |

QUOTE(mathcorer @ Jul 21 2011, 07:36 PM) Fcuk the arguements of who is better, that’s like listening to a teeny popper and a rapper fighting about which is best, – in that case, both are shit. See what I’m getting at? We fight the same fight. Only the strong survive. We are both superior to any other genre of music. And last but not least, we both like beer, a lot. THIS! So if u are in the minority of “I’m a metalhead, fcuk hardcore” or “I’m hardcore, fcuk metal”, it might be time to grow up and realize that we are one and the same, despite small differences which doesn’t mean shit. I love metal, and I love hardcore. One thing I can say about both is that I don’t like either one when there is pansy singing parts in the mix. i like heavy, and if you have read this far, so do u. hard n heavy music conquers all... Just to share my recent findings: Grind Minded The Browning Penumbra Silentium P/S - Gojira's The Way of All Flesh is good. But I think From Mars to Sirius is better IMO. |
