then mayb someone should change this thread title to black & death metal only... or mayb u can open new thread where u can talk about black & death metal only...
Err... The first Metal (Metal V1) thread was created by him to discuss/introduce obscured metal bands around the world. Since Megadeth and Metallica has their own thread, I think matters related to these bands should be discussed there.
hardcore/metalcore belongs to sub-punk genre rather than metal. Indeed, the sound of metalcore/new american metal/deathcore influenced from those melodic death metal / groove / industrial / thrash metal and sometimes mixed of black metal, but their attitude more towards punk by itself but more commercial. hahaha... Musically, most notable on its sound is their "breakdown" part and the vocal sound too "hardcore" which make them look un-metal.. haha
I still enjoy listening to Grindcore... Napalm Death FTW!
Hair Metal/Glam Metal certainly doesn't belong in this thread IMO. You can post it in the Rock thread instead cause that is what they really are.
This Metal thread was originally created to discuss about Extreme Metal genre. If you happened to go through the first version of Metal thread, even the mentioning of the band Slipknot was frown upon.
Back to topic, Satanic Pop pwnz!!!

I would like to think most metal heads are open minded to some extent. By informing another member to post non extreme metal topics in a separate thread is just that
1 . It is hard enough to find a place to talk about extreme metal. We really dont want to talk about glam metal please
2. There is already a rock thread elsewhere
Me ? I listen to all kinds of shit, even JPOP . you dont see me talking about JPOP or JROCK here.
But if you do want to talk about JROCK - PM ..heheheh
ok... who else is going to HATE ETERNAL's concert ? seriously man...why is HATE ETERNAL concert promoted like a small one ?
My point exactly. Unless there is no Rock Thread, I would accept the post by Angel of Deth with open arms.
And there is also a thread about Megadeth somewhere too.

I remember during mid 90's, there was this DJ on THR FM, he plays metal music during weekends. If u think playing Iron Maiden is considered "gempak", this DJ plays music that's way heavier than Maiden. He play's the type of metal where no other DJ dares to play. I discovered many bands through his show. He had bands coming on his show & there was a time where he managed to interview James Hetfield over the phone. That's right u heard me, James Hetfield!!! Even I couldn't believe it.
Hats off to this DJ.
The name: Alternative Rock Show The DJ: Kamil Othman
His program was basically based on theme. So if that week was a Death Metal theme, he'll play songs from Death Metal band all the way. I remembered the first time listening to Dark Throne from Malaysian radio show. The feeling was priceless. And he invited Rudra in one of his program.
Ears still ringing, neck still stiff... But HELL YEAH they're all worth it. Made some new friends there and meet up with long lost friends as well.
I heard the organizer by-passed all the Malaysian government's red tape by dealing straight with the Swedish Embassy. If that is true, I think it will serve as cue to other organizers to bring in more international metal bands here. BTW, where is the location of the Norwegian Embassy again?
Yeah man. First I thought they were going to make a 'pure' Holy Wars / In My Darkest Hour medley. I was like, damn! I wanna listen to the rest of Punishment Due till the end. To my surpise, they continued to play Punishment Due after In My Darkest Hour. Great moment!
Guys, sorry, out of topic abit. It's regarding rock/metal band tshirts online. I had this posted at respective section of "Men's Style" but I think there's more audience here.
www.loudclothing.com www.grindstore.com
Both have nice designs of band shirts but loudclothing doesn't ship to Malaysia. Grindstore does ship to Malaysia but I faced a lot of problem before (received item after 5-6 months and sometimes I didn't received it at all). Not worth the hassle.
I went to HMV SG the other day. Grabbed several good tshirts on sale (2 for SGD 50) and I noticed some big boxes of Loudclothing. I guess HMV sourced it from them. Too bad no HMV in Malaysia.
Getup Merch is also closed forever.
So anyone? Is there any good websites that you can suggest? Preferably those that have no problem to ship to Malaysia . Thanks
Evil bay.
There is also a guy who sells metal t-shirts at Amcorp Mall every Sunday somewhere around Popular.
