Pfft. Mustaine and his whiny voice can take a hike. If it weren't for the fantastic Marty Friedman and his exquisite solos in Rust in Peace, I would pen Megadeth as the shittiest of the Big 4, behind even Anthrax.

Have you guys listen to August Burns Red before? Their new album Constellation if I'm not mistaken is one of the best I heard before.

The song meddler is something I would say creative metal, hahahhah~ The sync between the drums and guitar riffs are simply awesome.

Try listen to them. The reason I'm posting here is because of I'm craving for more and I like to know if anybody can refer to any other band who play similar kinda music.

Thanks. Give it a try guys. cheers.gif

That band is of metalcore genre. You can find loads of metalcore bands with similar style and sound.

The new Orphaned Land is all right, nothing fancy.

And Dave Mustaine needs to get hit with a humble pie. He's been spouting a lot of arrogant crap lately (please refer to Blabbermouth.net, I'm too lazy to give you guys the link.)

my bad for sounding so contrived; i was talking about the general rules for concerts held in sg. Imho its just not worth attending a metal concert where there are so many restrictions while paying so much for a restriction on the energy going on in a room.
*
Well, I've been to two metal concerts in Singapore. The first was Slayer and you want to know how intense it was? It was insane. The pit was enormous and quite brutal. The organisers were cool guys, thankfully. The other concert was Dream Theater so no moshing there therefore no comment on the brutality of the people biggrin.gif

Though, the most insane show I went was definitely the Kreator concert back in the day at Chow Kit. People were climbing the damn sides of the stage! The pit was batshiat too.

Honestly, a pit in an Iron Maiden concert? C'mon.

Headbang is a prerequisite at any metal concert. It's a must otherwise you will suffer the consequences. But moshing? Not so. You mosh when the lyrics say,

QUOTE
Raining blood!
From a lacerated sky
Bleeding its horror
Creating my structure
Now I shall reign in blood!
Iron Maiden's music is meant to be savoured, like fine wine. But whatever rocks your boat, mate.

as expected agalloch took the top spot. what do you guys think of the list? any worthy albums deserve a mention?
*
Agalloch? Oh, man. This list had EPIC FAIL written all over it when I didn't see the latest from Fear Factory, Overkill, Forbidden, and my number one: Deathspell Omega. But then again, these lists are personal preferences. So what, eh?

pretty faithful Fight Fire with Fire (mosh friendly) Metallica Cover by Vader

The production is far too "clean" for my tastes. Also, I find that the drums are lacking in oomph. Thanks for the link, dude.

Hot damnit you rule biggrin.gif

I'd rather much see Tim Yeung, to be honest. Pete Sandoval's kit is triggered to high hell.

After Carcass' Surgical Steel and Gorguts' Coloured Sands, Ulcerate's Vermis might be the best metal album for me this year.

Awesome choices there. I'd throw in Suffocation's Pinnacle of Bedlam as death metal album of the year as well.

Though, the best for me is The Amenta's Flesh is Heir.

I must say, the new Behemoth is pretty rad. Nergal has finally nailed the black and death bits and amalgamated them perfectly on this. In fact, I would say this is more black metal than death by virtue of some of the riffs. Though, his vocal delivery is still "forced" sounding, a bit on the spitting end on some songs. 9/10 from me.

Don't mean to be a beeyotch, but this is the metal forum...so, we won't know shizz.

I do, however, like a few Dillinger Escape Plan songs. Though, I don't think that's what you came hoping here for.
