QUOTE(silbii @ May 24 2010, 04:00 AM) thrash metal gigs must have mosh pit lah...where got headbanging only???...aiyo! Even the Metallica gig i saw in London back in 96 had some groups moshing in the pit...but they we'rent that agressive...coz maybe it was just Metallica's playing Or just listen to Anthrax's 'caught in the mosh' or DRI's thrash zone...all talking about mosh pit...that's like the core spirit of thrash metal... maybe this is partly because thrash existed from the punk / hardcore scene + heavy metal guys who hated the hair-glam rock movement... still the Arch Enemy's gig in Jakarta was purely awesome too...those Indos really know how to mosh and headbang! anyways...i'm too old for all this sh*t...coz once you reach a certain age, you look back and you'll realised all these are just an extension rock and roll. But way better of course! Added on May 24, 2010, 4:02 amyupp..that's the best! sadly the place was too dark...can't see Mille or Ventor clearly...but one fine gig indeed! nowadays...i heard from my friend that Backroom closed...no business...i still remember a gig that i go which take place in Klang....metal gig+punk...result: failed...punkers throw beer bottle from the window n fall on a car...owner of the studio get mad n cancelled the gig...damned

QUOTE(CargoCult @ Nov 28 2010, 05:15 PM) haha, I think this is a great example of people going by hearsay and getting caught up in media hype. People think there are Quran burnings, however, you're a regular attendee of gigs and have never seen one, sounds like the media just want to whip up some sensationalist stories. It's also not surprising to hear that the media twisted things to suit their story about the gig in Seremban. bcoz of tis gig also my friend stop from going to gig n not listen to metal music as before. He's being set-up by the police, his urine test are +ve drugs although he's not taking drug n he's not even smoking. he'd stayed 1 week in lockup n head being shaved like prisoner This post has been edited by brokenglass: Nov 28 2010, 05:42 PM

QUOTE(CargoCult @ Nov 28 2010, 05:47 PM) This kind of police action sounds like what happened in Britain in the 70s/80s. Trying to paint people as criminals because they don't fit in with the status quo, a complete overreaction to something they don't understand. Do you know anywhere where I can find gig listings? I check a few pages, but I didn't hear about that gig. Usually when i go for a gig, the organizer will distribute flyers for the upcoming gig, yesterday i also went to gig in KL, Witching Hour 2010, main act, our own legendary occult/black metal band Nebiras, you can also check our local metal band myspace

QUOTE(WintersuN @ Nov 28 2010, 08:24 PM) Is this real? WHy they can perform? ANd how many people attend? Actually only Attila Csihar n not the other members of Mayhem. After Australian tour, the rest go back to Norway, but Atilla came here for vacation n being asked by the organizer to perform old Mayhem songs with our metal musician. Not many crowd that stayed during the show bcoz it is not in the flyers, n he's perform around 12.00am, n indeed, the most memorable gig that i'd attended
