QUOTE(CargoCult @ May 1 2012, 03:50 PM) Guys, where do you find out about shows? I'm not Malaysian so I'm not sure which avenues to explore. Seems I'm missing out on quite a few gigs. for the mainstream ones, go to junkonline.net or morethangoodhooks.comI never knew Hate Eternal and DRI were playing here and only heard that Marky Ramone was playing because of a TV show a few nights before. any online listings? thanks (anyone go to the Marky Ramone show? anyone have a rough idea of the setlist?) as for those not so mainstream ones, i normally got informed by fb frens, so cant help u there.. appreciate if there is any portal that reports or updates us on all local or international metal / upcomin shows and etc |

QUOTE(carpathia @ Jun 4 2012, 02:41 AM) hmn..... im not going to see megadeth. all the best to those that are going. we have the reputation of turning away metal bands. mb thats y. come on, RHCP (just an example, they of cuz aint metal) wanting to come here but gomen don allow Flea / AK to perform without clothes on or something (rumors?)..what pisses me off is big metal acts continue to bypass Malaysia and going to singapore only. damn. either they can come in by staging a low profile show (megadeth, mana boleh.. sure gempak) or go thru US embassy la ahahah correct me if i am wrong about the above. patiently waiting for more details. ahh.. saw Anthrax.. now Megadeth (missed them and DIO when they were here in SG due to work commitment in Shanghai then. bummer).. now.. LAMC should bring Metallica (i heard they tried but its too expensive.. again, rumors perhaps) and Slayer!! This post has been edited by cradle0fFilth: Jun 4 2012, 03:03 PM |

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ Aug 10 2012, 07:54 AM) I think this is kinda unique. Of course some people want showmanship and interaction from their favourite band or frontman, but i think they should not overdo it. Like Mustaine said, "this is not karaoke session". I like the part when transition between song to another song was smooth. They don't need to pause or some overlong speech between songs. Mean, they're on top with their fitness and stamina. No matter what people say about Dave, he won't give a damn. i was a lil disappointed (and the crowd i guess) when they did not include it in their usual setlist, but it exploded when they include it in the encore. That "Holy Wars / In My Darkest Hour / Holy Wars.. reprise" medley was awesome bit to end the show. First time they did something like that, i think. Also, Megadeth were experimenting with different tuning for this tour. dave was great. so is everyone (except for shawn.. of cuz as he was at the drums).. in terms of interacting with the crowd during their set, everyine had a great time. Dave came out with the kara-ok comments after overheard someone shouting for a song and wouldnt be quiet (TOS i supposed? well, at least few ppl around me was shouting for it!)
